Designed and made by mechanical and automotive engineers at Fulcrum suspensions, who make Super Pro bushes. Over a hundred employees and the largest suspension shop in Australia. Followed on from our design and first test set of new improved design as per pic. They have a brass sleave internal which is pinned and an oring to seal them, with camber adjustable length of 15mm.

For those who have not seen the progress of these arms what makes them Unique and the best on the market is they pivot or swivel in the centre. No other arm does this and why factory arms and all other aftermarket arms wear prematurely. Some very quickly on cars that go to the track, both R32 GTR and 300ZX, especially with more caster which most run. These don't bind unlike all the others and therefore they don't wear bushes or bearings or bend the arm. A car fitted with these arms handles and steers better, as no load as it goes through its ark, which it wants to, and all other arms don't allow it to.

For track use and more neg camber they would be from factory top arm length and shorter, unless you are widening wheel track by having adjustable length lower arms or moving inner pivot point on cross member. Most have lowered road cars and too much neg camber for road use though and need less neg camber. I am wondering what most have done re this to front end, so we can work out lengths to make arms and can have options.

    Hello John

Since most people either fit lowered springs (Eibach's etc) that are 0.8 inches lower than stock or coil overs, perhaps making them to adjust for camber from the 0.8 mark to the mid or lower limits of the most common coil overs might give you the biggest potential market.

Personally I have the King lowered springs (30cm), KYB Super Street adjustable shocks with ConceptZ adjustable upper arms and tension rods.

Been wondering how you were going with this, Im going to need some adjustable upper arms soon to possibly go with some coil overs...
I'll be at stock height initially, but will lower the car as much as speed humps, driveways and fussy coppers will allow :zlove:

    Test model

We have had prototype on my car for over a year now with no problems.
No group buy yet as we are testing these first and finalising lengths etc. May also add a guesset and suggested this and wating for a reply. As these swivel they don't have nearly as much load as all other top arms on the market that want to pivot btu can't and tear appart. They swivel as they have a brass sleave in one end and pinned to lock it.

    Not in thread

Steff I just read your question again and to clarify NO it does not pivot or swivel on the thread which would ware out quickly and wrong surface for two metal surfaces to move against. I checked the engineers drawings and it uses a M 30 thread internal and chrome shaft and brass shim where it moves.

    I like the design

It looks as strong as I would like a part like this to be for its job. I have been eyeing up other units but they just dont look HD enough for some reason.
I would be into a pair if they become readily available.
    Good on you John.

So John roughly how far off are you from selling these? Couple more months of R&D or are we talking this time next year? & a ballpark figure? similar to current units or what?

    cheers, Tim

We have had a prototype tested on our race car over last twelve months and all good. Now we are going to test these new improved ones on our car. We will also do some before and after measuring to work out optimum lengths to cover all, although may have to produce two different length versions. Most zeds require longer than factory whilst most R32 GTR, which it also fits, require shorter. Although the engineers are working on making more adjustment and retain function and strength and currently 15mm which is a fair bit but 20mm or more would be great. It won't be this year but not too far into next year.

They actually look quite strong, and as mentioned less load required than all other types and it is the least loaded arm of the three if you include the radius rod a an arm which takes a lot of load. I have asked the engineers if they need gussets. The material used looks quite thick at 3mm from what I measured, and as mentioned designed by engineers in the largest aftermarket suspension shop in Australia.

The ones that UAS are developing are able to rotate through the centre axis. Those
Stillen ones are a fixed position type, once the correct length is determined, they are locked like all other designs.

FRONT ADJUSTABLE CAMBER ARMS .... given today's

(04/02/2008) thread by pexzed regarding his camber arms issues, it would be useful to know where this development is at ... would a current progress report be available... ????

Doing a few hard laps to make sure they're all good before going into production run. There's a little fine tuning to get optimum adjustment range to suit majority of potential users... but this was a little while back. I've emailed JP for some more news.

I'm sure I just stuffed mine last week

I'm Keen to know when these new ones will be released. I got a few extra squeaks and creaks after a track day last week

    camber arms .. vs .... track/skid pan days .. ?????

.. i am wondering just how much track days and especially skid pan days may be responsible for the several reported failures of the standard type adjustable camber arms ... interesting to speculate ...

..in my one skid pan day experience, one could certainly feel monumental stresses and strains being exerted all over my zed .. certainly enough to make me reconsider a return to the pan in the short term, at least ....:( :( :(

No doubt that use on the racetrack, especially under hard braking with slicks and race pads would stress the arms much more than daily driving. Having said that, I cant think of anyone who races regularly (Fleet,Wizard, Ports, ZX2NV, Myself etc) who has had issues with these style arms, pretty sure all of the failures have been on daily drivers. It would be interesting to know if any of the zeds with the failed midori style arms also had solid tension rods fitted as is reccomended, I suspect not in a few cases..
