yeah know how you feel man, im at the crap stage of putting it back in haha.

 

playing around with parts today. Aircon Compressor is seized. It was the belt missing aswell so I wonder if that was what snapped rather than the crank. anyone got any insight?

 

Owner probably cut the AC belt when the compressor seized to stop the squeal and smoke.

 

Possible it snapped??

 

What was the condition of the other belts? The three are normally changed at the same time.

Seized AC compressor will stall the engine at idle.

 

Belts arent in the worst shape but are all getting replaced.

 

Iv'e been a little bit quite on this front for the moment surprisingly, must have something to do with 80hour+ weeks at work lol.

But in saying this doesn't mean things aren't happening. Here's a pic of more new parts

Pulley set
Water Pump
Timing Belt and Tensioners
Lightened Flywheel

These will be all fitted up this week and the engine will be ready to go back in!!!

Also finally paid of some members in return for their products the list includes

FMIC, Dual intake pod adapter, Highflow Turbo's, Dump and Test pipes, Exhaust Manifolds, Front tension rods, Whiteline rear sway bar,

Cannot wait

 

more parts purchased today brand new loom, clutch fan and clutch slowly the pieces are coming back together

hahah theres no chance of that happening once its built i guarantee that! unless your like you and spend crazy amounts

Went to Nissan to get a comparison quote even with my trade discount they're laughable.
Engine mounts alone they want $270.75ea I ended up picking new ones up for $110 each.

New oxygen sensors - Repco wants $150 ea I managed to get 2 for $60

Everything should be landed by friday and all going well the engine and gearbox will be back in next Saturday
