    powerchip

Try powerchip.com.au They have chips for na 300zx that will up your power from 168kw to 186kw or 191kw (at the flywheel obviously), depending on what fuel you want it tuned for (95ron or 98ron). Last time I checked, the price was $690. I also recall that it is a soldered chip. Can basically be unplugged any time you want.

I was going to get one with my tax refund, but I got a bloody big dent in my right hand fender today, so chip is going to have to wait. Anyway, hope that this helps.

don't buy an off the shelf chip... get it tuned properly...

being an NA you may just want to buy an apexi safc or similar and get that tuned...

We tested Powrchip on a NA zed who came up from Tassie and found maybe 1 rwkw if that so? Custom chip tune is the only way to go.

Miksta I was talking with Zac from Cypher yesterday about late model zed with Microtech and issues and good guy and knows his stuff.
That was a big gain for an NA although this was with Super AFC NOT a Chip, and yes he returned for his money back, although many don't get their money back as they don't bother returning chips that don't work, and hang on to hope that it might work one day or something. Worse than not working we have seen a lot of chips advance timing too much and cause detonation and on a few cars has damaged motor from minor to destroy motor. The US ones are not suitable for Jap and Aussie delviered cars as different fuel and set up. Also The various Aussie chips tested also if anything run richer than stock and sometimes cause detonation and we have seen as other chips make less power than stock. Bottom line get a Super AFC or Microtech, or if local to us Power FC.

    Yup thats true John

Initially was debating going a Microtech, but the S-AFC seemed much better value and was very happy with the results. Zac also mentioned that he talks to you regularly and orders stuff from you, which i will do in the future :), also a side note about the tuning, when Zac done it, he done a "conservative" tune, he told me he could have tuned it higher but this would be good for everyday street use. The tune/dyno was done on a, and i quote "a difficult dyno", i think what he meant by that it was higher resistance or something (don't quote me). What im getting at, is that he said dont worry about the top end power (HP), but how much power increase u get from each mod, 28RWHP was a very noticable difference when i got it done and still happy to this day, just very very curious what Zac can do when i put the TT in and get him to tune it again :D

    Cheers

    Hi Miksta,

How much I am looking at to follow your path. Can I give a call Zac and mention your name? though I don't know your real name. Can you pass me his number?

    Cheers.

    wow

28hp/20kw. Thats amazing!!! (for an NA) if this can be done to my NA tell me how, if I get myself a greddy safc and go to gavin wood could he do the same thing as this Zac person? Everything I have heard and seen to date is that 20kw from a tune is impossible? Miksta what mods did you have prior to the tune? Also 158hp  there must be something wrong there as you said, mine was 163 stock.

SAFC's only allow fuel adjustment remember guys.

Tune allows for both timing / fuel.

Perhaps not an issue when only chasing small gains and thus suitable for a NA, but the only reason to run a SAFC on a TT is for dual MAF averaged setups, IMHO.

After reading all old thread I think it is better to go for unichip and custom tune for NA. I got Dual POD and catback, new O2 and iridium spark plugs. Car is running so smooth and so good...I can't wait to go for Unichip. Does anyone can help me to find the place in WA for unichip installation and tune at the same time to get at least 15rwKw more power.
Hope not expecting too much from NA.:D

so if I wanted to "tune" the NA, both timing and fuel ratios what could I use?
