Good because then you can do it first and ill copy you haha. Hopefully ill get most of it done by monday :zlove:
Long time since update Well its been awhile since i last updated, something like 2 months into the wiring tuck. Taken alot of breaks to keep my sanity but close to finishing, got the solder the fuse box back in and it should be ready to go. I took a break today and decided to get rid of the arbon canister lines, prvr solenoid and the rest of the avi vacuum hoses. Ripped out the ac unit and all of the pipes, it looks so much cleaner with all that crap in the bay :zlove: Thats all for now :br:
So I finally finished the last connection in the wiring tuck and tried to start the car for the first time, it cranked but it didnt turn over I figured out that I forgot to connect the two plugs that are next to the fusebox....... easy fix and plugged them together, I tried again and the car kicked to life but it didnt want to idle and kept stalling. After searching around I found out that it was a big vacuum leak In the hard pipe of the intake, pluged it up and it ran perfect and held its idle, im happy it didnt burn down final stages is to wrap of the wires and get it looking neat and all back in place, then its engine out time and wiring harness reroute and tuck. pics to come
Lol, id say your a few step ahead theo. Will be interesting to see whos bay comes out nicer seeing as you guys share the same inspiration as i do too
engines out so i finally had the time and an engine lifter to pull the crappy na motor out in preperation for the bays shave tuck and paint battery tray had rusted through and most of it was surface rust on the shell, also a rusted brake booster and oil and grease everywhere. so now its get rid of everything i don't need and reroute things and then i can clean the sucker
Been awhile So ive not touched the zed in over a month, lost motivation, putting money into my daily...... But today i bit the bullet and got back to work, now the motivation is higher... Cant say the same for the money . I didnt do much but i jacked it up and removed the exhaust and the carbon canistor hardline that ran with the fuel lines to the rear of the car. Just a bit restrictive??
more updates So i got back into it today and done a lot of work Gearbox came out as well as the driveshaft, brake booster and slave, clutch slave, throttle cable, and pretty much all the little things that get in the way. Mainly i scraped away all the foamy goo around all of the spot welded panels and started removing some of the rust and brackets that i done want Im thinking about getting the bay welded up properly where the panels meet because it is pretty bad quality i couldn't be bothered removing the air-con boxes and vents to get the the wiring loom so its staying in place for awhile.
