from what i found they flow pretty much the same, very negligible variance between the two. they are both cast iron manifolds and the same/similar in all design aspects.

yes it would be great to support an innovator but id rather go elsewhere for the same product at half the price.

has anyone have any complaints about the design and flow of the AMS manifolds??

AMS have brought a whole range of products at good prices to the z community so they shouldn't be fully discredited.

Yes they should. People like Mike Smith and Greg and Seb at SZ arent big companies, they put alot of time/effort and money into bringing new products to the zed community then dickwads like Vuk from AMS come along and steal those ideas, make cheap, lesser quality products and sell them as their own.

Of course they are cheaper when they're made in some cheap-ass factory with no quality control. Its this way of doing business and your way of thinking that is ruining innovation and stopping new products from coming to the zed community.

Its ridiculous how people get upset over things they have no control over .
buy the more expensive one and be happy ....

so that means AMS also copied the SZ 3" expansion..
numerous SZ 3" have cracked ... and haven't heard of AMS ones that have cracked..
point is there is no real proof which is better

its all about choice ... buy what you prefer

    then theres no helping you.

Please link information of the numerous 3" SZ expansion pipes that have cracked please. I have a set and would like to know if there is anything else I should know.

I doubt that there will be much more R&D done for the Z32 now anyway... Nothing coming out of Japan anymore, most of the gear is discontinued and what else would you want that isn't already available from the states?

1 off custom DIY FTW! Then no one can copy it :p

You should be bitching about the lack of R&D for VH45 parts :p And theres always room for improvement, room for technology. I know of atleast 1 product Mike Smith is holding back thanks to AMS. If you want more info about it PM member Waztted.

[QUOTE=ZDUCTIV;870143]Duh AMS copied SZ 3" expansion pipes.

YOU MISSED THE POINT ...wasn't saying they did or didn't ...but the fact that expensive doesn't necessarily mean better quality..

And will dish up the post where I read it ...

I'm not for or against any of the products ..if I got a better deal on MSP ..I would buy them ....

To me its the same/similar product with same/similar results..

While he is holding back,it would be a good time to go to business school and learn something wouldnt it
What sort of business holds back products with the fear someone will copy it rofl, ever heard of copyright and legal proceedings if ever they are violated ;)
You obviously have some sort of problem with ams,ive read alot of your posts and they all say the same thing, you should just copy and paste, may save you some valuable internet time, thus saving on connection fees, then you can afford the ms ones

This is 2009 and most people will opt for a cheaper product that is comparable in quality to the original, unless he tries to compete with those prices, its game over sadly for him.
In saying that,i dont condone it,just stating the facts of the times we live in,like it or lump it :)

What for? Doesn't bother me much. I have a welder, access to laser cutting machines, lathes and mills. CP make pistons, ACL make gaskets what more do I need?

Sure there is always room for improvement, but what's the point on a 20 year old Jap sports car... When was the last time you saw something properly new for a S13 or a Mk3 Supra? Won't be long until you have people playing the 'revert to stock' game like they do with the S30's.

And have you ever looked up the cost of a patent. Mike Smith isnt a huge business, he cant afford to pay out $1000's for international patents. Heres a quick link for you http://www.ipwatchdog.com/patent/patent-cost/

Obviously I have a problem with AMS, and if you've been paying such close attention to my posts I'm sure you can work out what it is.

As for this being 2009 and people opting for cheaper products, well if people want to be cheap thats their problem. I can still stand up for what I think is correct and proper business practices.

On a side note, I have cheap knock offs on my car, inparticular Tuneagent dumps, but I didnt buy them without doing the research and would swap them over if I could afford to. However being a uni student doesnt allow the income to do so, if I could go back in time however I would've saved up and bought SZ dumps.
