Depends... I guess it comes down to preferences. By the way, were you looking at buying or renting? If you're looking at renting an appartment, then closer to the city the better imo. But depending on what you get, you'll be looking at close to $300 a week in rent. The older area's surrounding the city are convenient, but watch out for crime and the type of people that live there. If you go further out you'll be going into area's with more families and less rentals...potentially a lot nicer to live in too... But definitely, if you're single and don't need a lot of space, renting near the city is ideal. Cost, Size etc are things to factor in... Go to www.realestate.com.au and do a search. When are you planning to move here? I'm looking into buying an investment appartment in the city early next year...Rent would be like $300 a week though... Cheers Rob.
