OK I've had the other EOI thread locked as it looks like the JUN cam gears are the way to go. Please note this is for exhaust cam gears as it seems the majority of us (myself included) want to retain VTC. Anyone interested in intake gears please PM me and I'll have some added to the order.

These are coming out of Japan via Greenline Motorsports and are suited to a factory bolt pattern. Different part numbers are listed for series one and series two so you will need to be 100% sure what you're after.

So here's the deal, the gears themsevles work out to be $346.80 per pair, delivered in bulk to sydney. I'm going to round this up to $350 to allow for fluctuations in conversion rates, as well as bank fees etc that will come up. Once they arrive I will get costs to repost and will send them out once this has been paid.

    So the details

Item: JUN adjustable exhaust cam gears
Price: $350/pair upfront, plus post when they arrive
Timeframe: Want to place the order no later than April 23rd.
Benefits: There has been heeeeaps of discussion on these, so please search Z-Related for more info. The basic idea is that hese will allow you to dial in more accurate cam timing, which when set on dyno can yield more kw. I think they are also lighter than factory so less rotating mass on the front of your motor which is always a good thing.

Please note this is for five buyers so the sooner we can get the numbers in the sooner we can make the purchase.

    The Fine Print

Also should insert the following fine print. Pretty self-explanatory IMHO but I don't want to take any chances.
    • I am responsible for ensuring you get the part you order, but that is all. It's the buyer's job to make sure the part is suitable for them.
    • NO REFUNDS once the money has been paid and the parts have been ordered.
    • Shipping costs must be paid within five business days of these coming in as I don't have alot of space at the moment
    • Any incedental costs incurred along the way will be shared by the group, the big one I'm thinking of here is exchange rates. We have a small margin (<1%) from my rounding up but be prepared to pay a little extra if needed

Cool and yeah I'm pretty sure the JWT cams are series two and that's why you need to buy the adaptors to use with series one. Wish I'd known I would buy these before I bought the JWT adaptors....

    Yep.

If you buy series one cam gears they will work with your existing cams, and then when you buy the JWT cams just make sure they include some adaptors which you would have needed anyway if you were going to use your OEM cam gears.

Better yet I'll sell you some JWT adaptors as it looks like I won't be needing mine anymore.

Just a few questions regarding series 1 and series 2 gear selection:

either way i will be using aftermarket cams in my build, so with this in mind, what series gearset shall i get? Are aftermarket cams only sold in the later series design? The heads that these will be used in are off a 92 model, what should i be looking at to tell what series cams i have?

If i decide to keep the factory intake gears and retain the VTC/VVT, will using a spacer on only one timing gear, throw the gear alignments out?
I have pics of the cams and timing gears if that would help with diagnosis.

Just a little confused about all this
