yea, i just dont want to spend my hard earnt money (apprentice - 300 a week 45-60 hour weeks) on,
a) a nice NA i will fix up and clean up then sell wen im 21 for a tt
b) buy a tt and get a ban stick for driving.

unless i can really get some decent power out of an NA. ima just have to be smart n save till im 21, probs just start the saving for a house

 

well buy a $2000 commodore or corolla and drive that until you're qualified and off your p's

heh, never had this problem while on my p's, then again i had my tt before the new p plate laws came in, it's also the only car in my family so i was sweet as pie to drive it all i wanted.

just buy it, drive it and dont spend any money on insurance as no insurer will pay you if you get into any trouble.
dont worry about cops, they dont know zed has turbo, arh sorry turboS. if they really know you just say you dont know it is a TT. or just custom your rego plate as "noTurbo"

as (i think) chad has mentioned in another post a while ago, if you must buy a TT, DONT BE A DICK behind the wheel. theres no need to boot it everywhere you go.

Thats the most stupid thing i've ever heard if he hit and killed or injured someone, or even smashed into a bentley,a house etc he is 110% screwed. Seriously is having to wait two-ish years for your blacks really that hard?? Oh and it only takes a half switched on highway patrol or a defect stop for the cops to realise its a turbo car...

 

lol i love it how everyone assumes cops won't know its turbo, while yes some might not know, most of them will. getting a stupid number plate won't cover it up.

and what happens if he crashed it into a porsche? or if his handbrake cable snapped and it rolled down a hill and through a house? sure they are unlikely situations, but you're better off safe than sorry.

 

The example about the handbrake cable snapping is flawed because he wouldn't have been driving the car at the time

yea i agree with what use are sayying, thats why im just going to do the original plan and get a 2+2 NA man, btw i had a cop once tell me my old NA was a turbo and wanted to take me off the road, wow he made himself look silly.

 

man @ 6g i'm contemplating. mum is gonna kill me but i bloody well want a 2 seater. might as well have a slicktop since i won't have backseats to chuck targas into. i got a set of stock suspension and wheels. how bout $5k without your aftermarket suspension and wheels
