Yeah Simon is right, Sure your car is insured for fire and theft since you are not driving the vehicle but any claims u lodge IE, car accident etc. They'll Deny you straight away. Call them up and ask..
and your dad will lose his insurance as well ,ive cruised and had lunch with your mum and dad,very nice people ,dont do it if you really want to impress the girls,do as badxtc did and buy a penis enlarger,much less trouble and by all accounts from what kirby says,it sort of works
the scabbing bitch my dad was with isnt my mum or my step mum, she tries to think so, but nope, just to clear that up. not trying to impress anyone, just the fact that i want a tt cause wen i hit 21 thats what ima get and instead of putting that money on the TT it will go on the NA and waste more. so i figure get wat i want now.
How long have you got till you are off you P's? If it's 6 months or something keep the TT (if it's worth it and something special), leave it in the garage and get a beater for $1k and drive that.
guys leave him alone, the old 2 seater NA manual which i personally like a lot more than this rubbish TT auto with front damage repair is already sold. kinda late to be giving him advice on what he should have done.
ho kay, so i guess use are right.... called insurance and waht not, only thing i can do is put it under my bosses name and say its a work car lol. but besides that no real exemption can be made for 24/7 driving.... my dream just got flushed down the drain.

just garage it till you can drive it, pick up a beater with a years rego for 1k, then 6 months down the track sell it for 800, then no real loss there. its not worth driving with the TT no matter who its insured with, it will be void, and coppas will type in the rego, see its TT, be more likely to pull you over, and when they do your fooked. also, the insurance will be the same as its only 3rd party, compo wont be the same i can guarantee it gl with it man, i know how good having a TT is, and i cant drive mine for another 20 months
na i aint gonna buy it and garage it. probs stay away from cars for a long time till im rich.. which aint going to happen. if anyone has a nice 2+2 NA, let me no, thanks
I was pulled over 3 times driving my friend's turbo Skyline on my P's. Two times they didn't notice it was turbo. 3rd time they gave me a $227 fine and I lost no demerit points at all. I don't think it's a smart idea for a daily drive. You may get away with it as a weekender.
I believe that they have ramped up the points for doing that now. Like loss of licence amount of points...
The law is there to not only protect the p platers,its to protect us lol Seems a superman suit is part and parcel with some young guys these days,sad,but they will learn in the end The cops are targeting imports and p plates here until the end of the year so i was told by a mate the other day,the honeymoon is over kiddies lol :thumbup: Anyone that buys a t/t knowing they cant legally drive it and cant legally insure it missed the iq school
so what happens if u accidently hit his car? small or big... or if u hit a person? or a bus shelter? or a high end car? or a house? or a building? .... the fine from the cops should be the least of ur worries...
I never said it was a smart idea It is very risky and potentially very dangerous. Hit a building and cause $1,000,000 damage? There is your life down the drain.
