I also got burned badly when i joined mustang forum when i told them the plans to fit a later model efi v8 ford engine with twin turbos in my 67 mustang.
Efi and turbo shouldnt be used in same sentence with mustang crowd

hes not really breaking any rules, possibly insulting people but that goes both ways. Hes not even Australian though and its all junk is my problem.

And ill be the first to say i love crazy and unique things. But how he chooses his words and insults people..even people giving him compliments is just so out of it.

Waynoz - You seem to know what you're talking about when it comes to fabrication, car bodies etc. What do you do as a profession now?

RBZ260 - Certainly don't have a problem with someone putting new running gear in an old car. I've seen someone drop an LS1 into an EH. One of the reasons I like the aus300zx forum is the build threads. If the quality of the work is good, the person is putting lots of time into it and they're doing something out of the box, it's always a good read. I don't always with agree with the style decisions but f#%ked if I could do better.

Arashi - My 2 cents (take it or leave it) is get a shite job. Canada's economy ain't that bad man. Go to school with the money you earn and learn Industrial Design if that's your dream. Don't do it half arsed.

when i left school i worked for a guy in colac who is pretty much a god of metal, he's bought a kenworth that was originally a prime mover and removed the coupling, built a tipper body for it with a hoist he sourced from somewhere and modified, then he built a flat tray for it and he swaps between them when he needs to. apart from that he's also built a bunch of slashers for farm equipment and compacters etc for the local councel, i bought a rusted out XC falcon when i was 17 and we spent most weekends cutting sections out and replacing sections on almost every panel on the car, we even cut the entire back section off leaving only the chassis rails and replaced the old rusted rear tail light panels. it wasnt perfect but we got it straight,

apart from that i've worked in panel shops from leorke's in apollo by to what used to be Mendem smash repairs in laverton, i went and did a pre app in panel beating at the gordon in geelong and was the top of my class in repairs pulling off a repair to a torn late model falcon panel that i had to reshape, weld and brought both sides back to a perfect bare metal finish. i dont think i could do that now, i went back to do year 12 at 23 and now im about to start my masters in architecture so i dont get my foot into the industry as much as i used to.

im still hanging out to buy that shed with the loft so i can pretty much chill out there and have the gear to do what i want when i want. all my spray gear is still sitting in colac with all my tools, they would come in handy considering the state of the Z i just bought

as for arashi, i was going to say do industrial design too, at least what he may lack in technical ability he might be able to make up for in design and creativity.

However, after seeing his ugly head in his avatar with totally ****ed up MO, along with his paper mache car pasted next to that [Camaro?].... then seeing his posts, and the clueless newbies (no insult guys, you just dont know... poor little things...) actually encouraging him, not knowing the consequences of their ignorant actions.....

...the only words i could possibly muster were "I feel sick."

And not 'sick' as in, "i can feel a little bit of vomit on the way but i can control it" sick.
Sick as in, "I just smashed a bottle of Johnny Black and smoked a gram of weed, and now i'm bad-buzzing on the toilet seat, shitting my life away whilst vomiting bile all over my legs, forgetting the door open and all the hot chicks at the party are pointing and laughing at me..." sick.
