Ross, if the Castlemaine to Bendigo section is good then I could head straight over to Maldon, via the Calder Alternative Highway.
( Fogarty's Gap road was closed earlier today )

Then I could go to Castlemaine and kick you out of bed to make breakfast for me

 

Good idea Mick. Just don't try to get up my driveway unless you've done a bigfoot conversion to your zed. You can pull into the inlaws next door.
We have to park there till this f#@king rain has finished. Was going to get a load of crushed rock tomorrow but forecasting heavy rains for Friday. So would most likely lose my driveway again. This driveway is becoming harder to maintain than the zed!

 

You should see how much culverts go for these days, that way the whole thing is concrete, so if it does flood, at least it just overtops it and doesn't mess up the gravel.

 

And Craig, if things check out OK I can scoot back to Bendigo and pick you up. I'll phone you after I've had eggs and bacon on toast at Ross's.

Just had a call from Mick. Road from bendigo to Maldon is clear, with signs warning where there's gravel over the road, etc.
