Are there any differences between 2+2 and 2 seaters for the rear strut brace?

Went to fit mine today and the mounting holes aren't where they should be :bash:

How many other people who've fitted rear bars from this bunch have had issues fitting???

Interested to hear if anyone else is having issues with the rear bar - As far as I am aware there shouldn't be any difference for 2+2 and 2 seater.

I fitted mine, had to make the holes a bit bigger and a bit longer to get the bar on. Was a bit of mucking around but I didn't have as much trouble as 571CKY.

Could be a bent car... I like the Whiteline bars that are adjustable.

Mine fitted after I jacked it up - that took the weight off the coilovers, and straightened them up - it was pretty much lined up once it got to the body, it was just the angle of the studs on the coilover that was the problem....

That's a good point. The bar is meant to be tight when weight is put on it... I'd give this a go and see how far out it is... It's also possible that the car has had some previous "loving" by a panel beater that has left it slightly more tight.

Yeah they have to have some kind of tension on them. In the old days they used to use a hydrolic cylinder to apply pressure to the towers to widen them (slightly) and then the bar would be made and fitted.
