Out of curiosity (for the time being), how much would it cost to ship Engine 1 down to Sydney?

no idea mate, If you were serious, I can arrange for it to be loaded onto a pallet for you.... you'd need to call TNT and get a quote... It would weigh around 200kgs I'd guess... my guess is around $100-$150

 

Just as reference i had a vg30de with radiator and small box containing the engine harness shipped via tnt with a work account on a standard sized pallet. From brissy to adelaide on road freight service, my cost was around the $270 mark. Also remember they do not go by physical weight but cubic weight. Thats why it cost so much. I paid freight for air. That was recently. Btw, the end physical weight was around 320Kg.

Also about a year ago i sent a vg30det with a small box of parts also to brissy from adelaide. Same account, same service. But a smaller pallet suited to the engine. Cost was around $160. Again due to the cubic method. Real weight was around the 300Kg.

As well as those things I have a single-TB inlet to suit a Cima VG30DET engine + 1 near new turbo-auto starter motor, and various other VG related crap.
