You might be surprised by the handling of a 2+2 Zed, having driven a few of both I think the Zed actually handles slightly better if anything, not much in it though and MR2s are a whole bunch of fun either way.

As soon as I mentioned 300ZX on the MR2 forum I got flamed sooo badly.
All the usual comments like "it handles like a boat.. land barge.. tank etc." but it doesn't phase me. I have always had a soft spot for zeds so I'm getting one no matter what any of them think. :zlove:

Would be really cool if someone let me take their zed for a quick spin at a meet some time. Would love to see first hand how they handle. Even sitting in the passenger seat would be good.

Invite some experienced drivers off mr2australia I lack driving experience and I don't have a turbo.

I'm just going by what has been said to me by others (mostly MR2 drivers, so it may be a little biased haha)

I will make up my own mind once I have driven both.

Hell yeah. That would make an epic deca day. I would definitely come and watch my 2 favorite cars go head to head.

Sign up at www.mr2australia.com and just pop the idea into the general forum.
Explain to them that an 'anonymous MR2 owner' from their forum was "talking up" MR2s (i'm not, but just say I was) and that you'd genuinely like to organise a deca day and see how the cars perform.

we will start off with a hills run

then we will see if they still want to go through the efforts of going up against us at a deca day

a deca day is already organised (check coming events section). openings are not yet open for public as they are closed to 2 clubs atm, but if there are any spots left after that it will be open to other clubs and they will be able to join then.

so mention a hills run and ill organise the zed boys and u can organise ur mr2 boys

I've mentioned it to the guys on the MR2 forum. If they're up for it then I'll let you guys talk to eachother, I'm not really involved with the MR2 club much so I don't want to be the middle man.

To be honest, I'd love to see them lose. Then they'd stop flaming me for buying a ZX :zlove:

interesting, it weights roughly over 1500kg.... so i suppose all those other jap cars gtr's, supras etc are all whales too yeah ???

the mechanicals would be pretty fkt with any car you get that you dont maintain dont you think??? treat the car well with regular maintenance and it will surely treat you well in return. pretty simple dont you think??

with the heating problem, again same thing if your cooling system is up to scratch it would surely perform as it was suppose to.... dont maintain ur cooling system and one would simply expect to get problems... personally ive driven my car in the hottest 45degree days vic has ever seen wasnt it this summer that past ??? i didnt have any problems with cooling

Don't worry, they said the same thing about Supras and GTOs. I was looking at them too for a while.
Surprisingly they seem to like GTRs.
