In Australia? I've only found a couple of people that have done a run of them in the states, and that was a couple of years ago.

Please let me know of any details that you may have :zlove:

Here is a picture of roughly what the finished product will look like. This one is one of 5 made a couple of years ago in the UK and cost about US$700 at the time.

All the above pictures are from a guy in the states who is slowly putting a VH45 into a S13

Isn't the VH45 and the VH41 the same block? would this plate and spacer work for a VH41/VG combination?

nah the VH41 has its starter motor on the other side.

This is raising it's ugly head again....

The one I was trying to source from the states is taking it's sweet time  I'm getting impatient.

I've found a guy in Aus that can apparently make them, and they are a decent price. Expect sub $600 delivered. Only problem is the lack of flywheel spacer. This INCLUDES the required weird sized bolts. Another thing these are available for VH41's too.

If people are still interested PM or post away. I'll see if we can do better for a couple of them.

    Edit:
Anyone interested in engine mounts as well? Might make a few sets up while I'm at it. These will be pretty cheap. Around $100, really just to pay for the steel and my dicking around time.

dont sell those engine mounts too cheap mate, id be allowing a minimum of 50 bucks of steel and 50 bucks of welding . And you dont want to be selling them for cost

    SAW kit and adaptor

Yes the SAW kit works perfectly in a Z with VH45DE and 4 speed box.

    Just road tested it yesterday.

I will place a firm order for a gearbox adaptor to Z32 manual box.

    Please contact me for payment.

agreed the eccentricity there looks huge

is that the correct terminology machanical man?
Chrispy, if you want I can track down a guy who made a cutom spacer and mountings from when my dad and I build our fan boat. He made about a 3 inch blanking plate which the starter was mounted too and also had a custom hub made to bolt the wooden prop too. A fitted beautifully and looked OEM, out of solid alloy.

I'm semi keen but have you looked into getting the adaptor that requires the bellhousing to be machined so you don't use the flywheel spacer?

Not quite Max. Eccentricity is roundness, or amount out of ;) Might get you to track down your machinist, I'll let you know.

Yes, actually. Thinking about this one from Mazworx:

It comes in at $475 incl. machining, so should be able to knock a bit off as I don't want to send my gearbox to the other side of the world for an hours worth of machining

I was originally against machining the bellhousing, but it shouldn't be that hard and I have a mill in the workshop.

Wow. i dont like the idea of that spacer either.

I'd be much more tempted on a group buy of that one, though most of us will have to organise our own machining I'm sure it won't be too expensive especially if we can provide the plans and dimensions
