So who messed these 2 (?) threads up ? (3 points !!) Anyways, for the speedo faces, are you talking about the early (pre '92-93) faces, or will you be able to supply for the later air bag equipped models as well ?
Hmmm, I know the bezel bit around the edges has extra lights and stuff for later model zeds but are the speedo and tacho etc different aswell? Can anyone supply a pic of a 92 or later dash? My zed is an 89 so i'll be getting that model, but as discussed earlier hopefully it wont be a problem to select with or without the factory boost gauge, so that will potentially open this up to early TT's, NA's, and hopefully later model TT's pending what the differences are if any. Also I should mention, anyone who currently has a 180kph speedo will need to do the resistor mod to their cluster. I haven't tried it but apparently it's pretty easy. I'll even supply the resistors if needed. Ben
Yeah that's quite different, i've just had a look at some pics from when I did mine. I would have to assume that it's different enough to be a seperate development process but we can see what they say if this goes ahead. Ben
On another note, I've heard back from the manufacturer regarding the custom gauges and they are willing to wave the $25 per gauge custom logo fee for an order of 5 or more guages. So that saves me $50 which is pretty good I think. So I need 3 more gauges to qualify obviously so put your name down as confirmed and lets get this ball rolling. The next thing to consider is customs charges if the order is over $1k which it might very well be. So I was thinking we might have to break the order up to several addresses, or might even be better to just place individual orders so each can make up their own design and place the order directly. That way we would not save so much on postage but with the dollar the way it is I think that more than makes up for it. Anyway, we'll see how many takers we get and go from there. I'd like to wrap this up pretty soon but i'll leave it going till the weekend and see what the situation is on Monday. Ben
Unfortunately I just picked up three gauges for a bargain, so I won't be needing anymore, sorry... I still might run another GB in 6 months or so.
ok folks, I'm buying 2 gauges this week sometime so I would love to have buyer/s for 3 or 4 more so I can get the logo discount that will save me $50, and $75 - 100 for the other person/s. That should keep it under the $1000 customs threshold too. So anyone that is definatly keen to go ahead and will have cash before about wednesday let me know and we'll start organising.
