    EOI - 60mm and 52mm custom gauges

    Hey folks,

I'm about to order some gauges from the US and thought I would see if there's any interest in a group buy. That's if the supplier will go for it anyway, i've emailed to see but wanted to gauge (haha, gauge, get it?? I kill me!) possible interest here first. :p

I'm buying regardless but even if there is no discount we can save on postage if a few of us want in.

    Here's the lowdown,
These gauges come in 52mm and 60mm in just about any type you want, ie water, oil, boost, fuel, trans temp, pyro, tacho, fuel pressure, volts etc.
They are all EL backlit or reverse EL backlit, your preference.
You can also choose the following:
    Face color
    Bezel color
    Font type
    Font color
    metric or imperial

And you can add one of thier logo's or any text you want, or add your own supplied logo at additional cost. I've got the Z logo ready to go for mine.

PLUS, they also have a settable warning light for high and low temp/boost etc etc.

The good points keep on coming, the 60mm gauge, which I intend to replace my factory water temp with has an external programming button on a wire you can mount anywhere so you don't need to open your speedo everytime you want to re-configure your gauge, or if you have a flat battery etc.
And also they have the option of having a secondary warning light remote mounted anywhere you wish.

They have a very slim mounting depth (like 1 inch) so will fit about anywhere, and a unique mounting design that uses a screw ring.
And lastly, they are designed so you can fit a 60mm gauge in a 52mm hole which dosen't look too bad either.

Pricing. Not too bad actually, but not "cheap". If you consider everything these can do and the amount of customizing you can do I think it's very reasonable. Gauges start from around $95 US for some of the 52mm and up to around $200 US for the more involved ones. And an extra $25 to add your own logo.
The site dosen't show a 60mm water temp gauge in celcius but i've asked and they can do them at no extra charge.

I'm looking at buying next week sometime but if there is more interest I can hold off a little while, but for me anyway this will not drag on too long.
I'll be getting more in the future though so maybe people will be interested down the track.

Anyway, here is the website so take a squiz and check out the feature that lets you make a mock up of a gauge in the color and font etc that you want.

And i'll let you all know if they are interested in a group buy and try to get some pricing.

Ohh here is some links to their ebay pages that show different styles ready to go just to give you a better idea what they could look like.

I would be interested in oil pressure, oil temp in *c, and water temp in *c. All 60mm. They look quite nice and I like the idea of warning lights in the temp gauges...

Yep that's a big part of what I like about them too.
Like with the water one you could set a low temp so you know to let it warm up till the light goes off before driving.

I also forgot to mention that these gauges have a lifetime warrenty on the electrical internals, the only manufacturer to offer such a warrenty.

PS, also forgot to mention that the line of gauges with the warning lights in them also have a memory recall of the highest temp/pressure reached which is also awesome.

    Hey folks,

I started another thread recently about an EOI regarding custom gauges, but i've been looking over the manufacturers website and they also have a development program for factory speedo dial replacments but custom made to order and EL backlit.

Normally i've seen these around for the Zed for around $200+ but these guys should be able to offer these for around $100 - 110 US which imo is a bargain.

As with the other gauges you can select your color, font, logo or full size patterns pics etc etc. and by getting in on this pre-order you not only get a discount you get all the customising and logo's done at no charge.

I have a spare set of TT 300kph gauge faces i'm prepared to send them to get the ball rolling but they need 25 confirmed buyers to start the development program rolling.

Again, here is the link that lets you have a play with color combo's and stuff so you have an idea of that's available, also if you have a look at the Gallery part of the web site there is alot of pics of other peoples dash's.

This one is for the 350z

Express any interest here and i'll start making a list as we go.

    Cheers
    Ben

ohh and hey, if you haven't seen the thread for the custom gauges check it out. You could then have all the gauges in your car match up with your speedo cluster.

Pretty damn good! Do we have to have 25 buyers to get the pattern made and then we can have whatever design we like or is it 25 all the same?

Can we get a NA/late model TT version one made without the boost gauge?

I will be definately in if it's a 300 kph version and we can have one without the boost gauge.

Maybe AMEC/Caz/PZP can get in on this and buy a few sets to get the numbers up. I'm sure that they could put there cut on top and sell them no hassles down the track.

Hey, yes they can be ordered with KPH no worries, and any order I try to organise would be for TT ones, i'm not sure if they would consider the NA ones to be different enough to require a seperate order or not. Wouldn't hurt to ask.

Am I right in saying that the NA ones only difference is the oil and boost parts at the bottoms are just blanked out?
If so I can't see why that would be a problem, but then again i'm not the one making them ;)

Crispy, I was thinking along the same lines, these seem to be a great deal and I would doubt there will be trouble getting 25+ sets ordered, even if we have to offer it to some other forums around the globe.

To answer your other question, the first 25 can be of any configuration each individual wants, so no set template.

As i've just said previously, i'm not sure about the different setups like NA and later TT's, I personally don't see it as being a big problem manufacturing wise, but then i'm not the one making them.

Maybe if when I send samples someone can donate some other face varients to send over then they can see what they can do. To me it's just a matter of making the base template, then making a few extra cuts here and there on whatever varient people need. We shall see anyway.

only difference with n/a is boost gauge is not there
fleet had an eoi to organise 300kmh dials with no boost cut out,i guess if you cant do that ,he may be the other option for those people

Now that you mention it I would be happy to loose the factory boost gauge, never look at the thing anyway.
If that's the general concensus then it will make manufacturing easier for sure.

If I procede with the V8 I will be after a full dash worth, so I will probably run another GB in 3-6 months time, so if anyone wants some but hasn't got the money you'll have another chance :zlove:

I'm interested in oil pressure (PSI/whatever) and oil temp (*C) 60mm.

    Do these come with senders?

Mine would be going with a t/t anyway  ,but i think the standard boost gauges are next to useless and i think it looks alot cleaner without it :)
Im certainly interested Ben depending on what can be organised :zlove: :zlove:

Do'h wrong thread! :bash: Please disregard the above.
Edit, no it's not. The threads are getting mixed up

Edit, this is getting confusing, is there only one thread now?

I have a spare stock 180kph NA speedo gauge that I don't need. They should be able to make the TT one without the hole no hassles at all. The NA still has the oil pressure gauge. I could also do without that as my sender is screwed and I will just buy a new gauge anyway.

haha, now you've confused me too!

Maybe one thread would have been prudent, but I wasne't aware of the speedo/instrument faces when I started the gauge thread.

Anyway, i'll start a single new thread if/when this looks like it will proceed.

The na face might come in handy, it's easier if we can just show them what we need. The only problem is we wont get them back that's all. I'm prepared to loose my spare 300kph face so that's ok. It's their policy so just be aware that's all.

I'd like to keep the stock oil pressure, but one like fleet did in PSI would be my preference.
