Good question about the external track. I havnt not considered it for private hire. Ive never seen anything except the v8`s going around there. Because its more of a race course, i can only assume the car would need to be scrutinized and you would require a cams license of some sort. This may also require a driving instructor either present or onboard. All of which would cost money.

From speaking with people who have done the track in the V8`s, I have heard of people being disappointed. This was mainly due to the small amount of time and the high cost involved.

But i will research and get some answers.

Anyone not familiar with the venue, this is it here. The intended motokhana occurs on the middle bitchaman rectangle, while the track is ofcourse on the outside.

In regards to the first paid first served basis, i would like to say i will give priority to everyone on the list, numbered through 1 to 20. But while i am paying for the entire event firsthand, I really have no option but to accept a persons solid word that they will attend when they pay for the event. I can accept only a deposit prior to the event, either though EFT or cash, identical to last time. I hope everyone will understand. I will explain in more detail when i book the event and then start taking payments and solid numbers.

Now the date I have in mind is the Full day of Sunday 28th June.

My plans are at the moment to run an AM group and then a PM group. Anyone can come down at any time, but keep in mind you will have your 4 hours of track time available.

The cost of the event will be estimated at $90PP. This will include a bbq that i want to organize at the venue for anyone involved. I will also be putting my car on the track likely for the PM session, so i might be asking for volunteers to help me with the BBQ. :D

Friends / Family / Cameramen can be encouraged to attend. Last time we had some very cool dudes, including Chris (ugame) taking some nice videos, which were posted on utube.

    Sound good?

No worries buddy. I hope you can make it too :)

Speak to the WRX Owners Club WA. They did a track day on Easter Monday which used the Sprint Track and 1 skid pan. As there was no timing it didn't run under AASA Rules (AHG use AASA not CAMS). You did have to do self scrutineering but that's easy to do on a street car. No fire extinguishers etc. required. Only required a drivers licence (No CAMS or AASA licenses)

The sprint track is a HEAP of fun and makes a nice change from the cones on the skidpan. I can understand people being disappointed with the V8 drives but with your own car and more track time, it's a fun course.

Don't be so sure. The WRX club priced it as $75pp.

Count me out. $90 is more than I budgeted, and doing it in June doesn't sound like fun.

the track shouldn't require scrutineering, I have take my old zed on it for a tuning arvo, however if the V8's are running that day then you won't be able to. If you can confirm we can get the track as well I'll deposit the money

Yer thanks mate. It's all about saving for the things I need. Like parts to do a Plenum Pull and the bits to install the car-puter. The AHG day fit that category.
