Timing? Sounds timing related. So it cuts out once you come to idle after the engine has been warmed up? Can you trace back your steps before it started to happen? Did you change any items on the car or did you have work done on the car? Rob.
the car is running fine if you only do city drive, as long as you run after on the freeway then problem start to happen. i went down south on the weekend and was getting worse, i could not keep the car running even when the car was parked. i can start the car and the car would run for about 10 second, then just cut out. and then about 6 hours later and car is fine again but if you rev up (when car is parked), the engine would cut off after lift the foot up
Air leaks Ok, could be an air leak even... Start the car up, pop the bonnet and listen for any hissing sounds. Could be a small air leak from one of the lines that's enough to make the car stall. Rob.
i don't know andy, i was always told the blue smoke is not a good sign when it comes out of a motor, and the smoke coming out of yours was definitely blue, i'm not trying to be a smartass or anything but i'm pretty sure a fresh rebuild should not be blowing blue smoke out of the exhausts, and as i said it wasn't just a tiny bit, it was quite noticeable cheers
