I have done a google search for carbon fibre doors. Very little comes up. Apart from them been completely illegal for road use as there are no side intrusion bars can anyone think of a reason CF is not been used on doors?

LOL it helps your google search if you spell Fibre as Fiber. DOH.:bash:

I had also thought that side intrusion bars could be fitted to a CF door for those that are road going cars.

Im thinking that targas and doors are going to be my first molds to play with.

I think you'll sell a few targa's, specially since UAS never got around to making them.

Nice. Do you have any other photo or a link to them so I can get a better look?

However in those pics they seem to be alot shorter and point up, rather than long and level like articdragon's car

I had a look through the links, and I agree with you. The one on articdragons is definately different to the others. It is a single sheet of CF molded to shape where the others are 2 sided molds and point to the sky.

Ill have a look at replicating articdragons. :)

Do you like the raised lip at the back or would it look better without it?

Al, I'm definatly interested in having someone I can trust to make a bodykit for me. I was looking at buying one via ebay a while ago but have heard nothing but negative comments about them.

Whoah Tonto. Small steps at first. Ill have a crack at designing a rear window spoiler and then making molds for the targas. Full bodykits are a long way away. :)

Hmmm both look good, but maybe you could make it as a 2 piece so people could choose?

If you were to make it with a lip i'd suggest trying to make it the same angle as the rear spoiler, just to keep things flowing coorectly

although I have to say if you do end up making anything im going to appreciate it whichever one it is :)
