i went 2 my friends house today and we decided to run an engine diagnosis on my car. it was a greddy unit and plugged into the non obm plug. apparently if nothings wrong it reads 0 but mine read 1. does anyone know what diagnosis 1 means?
    thanks

When you say obm do you mean obd (it's only 2 keys away)? 1 usually means that the crank is about to break. 2 means that it already has.

Sure you're not looking at some kind of diagnostic for your greddy boost timer or something?

as stated earlier. 1 = imminent death of engine, dignity and wallet.

You better start prayin' for a 12 mate, it ain't gonna get any better.

indicates iminent loss of compression. and performance.. did you have the compression checked before you purchased. would have clearly shown up

Code 1 can in rare cases be caused by a humongous frigging vac leak, due to resonating frequencies the air makes as it gushes in making the crankshaft turn out of sync. Try searching for that.

just by question does the car dropping to like 500rpm whilst idling on the odd occasion sound like a result of a vac leak?

i think that the problem may be the vac hose going over the metal nipple thing
it doesnt seem to be the whole way on as you can see in the pic
