The one on ebay? That's had a big front end collision? Yeah I'd probably stay away from that one, who knows how much damage has been bodgies up.

Yea it was on ebay, but not sure if your talking about the same one..the guy had 2 300's for sale at 5.5k. One was white and had a few problems with a small dint on the front left guard and the other was silver which looked clean and said it only needed a fix to the power steering fluid leak.

Should i stay away from zeds that's have done over 200,000km, such as this one?:

The guys says it has log book history, so would a well maintained 300 still be reliable at such high km?

Sure a 200.000km vehicle could be in good operable order, the secret is maintenance. I would be looking at the receipts and logbook very carefully. Look at dates and tasks that have been completed. Just recently I inspected a 300zx slicktop where the owner supplied some documentation amongst it there was some service history and a dyno chart. No date was displayed on the one receipt she had of the service. Neeedless to say when questioned it was two years ago.

The car also came with a roadworthy and safety certificate, yet after looking at the usual areas of concern I noticed tread on the rear tyres was different on either side. Power steering leak, cam seals leaking, radiator bone dry suffering from electrolysis. And after shooting a few questions to the owner they said the mechanic went over it with a fine tooth comb and it was fully seviced a fortnight ago.

So my piece of advice to you is, don't trust what people tell you, inspect items by yourself and if you require clarification post on the forum or get the vehicle inspected by someone in the know. Also check the service history really well.

    And most importantly, good luck.

@discus177: Thanks for the advice! Best to pay the small mechanic price now then to end up spending thousands for repairs.

@ryzan: I haven't seen it in person, but from what i have gathered, it does seem to have some hidden issues. Probably will skip that one as well.

Seeing soo many neglected z's while searching for one. A shame for such a great car. Not finding many that are clean and reliable mechanically.

Trying to get a good stock one for around 5-6k with Vic rego. Possibly pay more depending on the mods.

Yours is one i am considering at the moment. Only thing i didn't like was the front and rear bumpers. Prefer the stock one's. Will let you know sometime this week if i'll buy it. :)

You may find someone willing to swap stock bars for the ones on Revhead's car if you get it, or sell them and get some stock ones easily enough, plenty of people have stock bars they don't want.
