All quiet on victorian front?

I know its winter and its cold but what happens in victoria, does everyone go into dark warm corners?
The car runs great in cold the turbos love it .. a short trip to a warm pub and fire some soothing liquid and twistes on the way.
It seems like there a core group in victoria and unless they organise something all stops?
And yes I could organise something but I m not sure people could be bothered

 

Historically things do go quiet over winter in Vic.

Im always up for a cruise or meetup, but my work is a bitch, just ask Rod... Little **** has invited me to so many cruises and meets, that i just cant make it to because of work... The VIC forum is still pumping, rain hail or shine though, well done Rod.

Still think something is lacking here in Victoria, we dont have that.... "bond" that other states do... dunno...

 

Last cruise I went on was organized back in April. Everyone said they where coming and on the day there was 2 of us.

That is why NO ONE BOTHERS. Whats the point. Most of you are all talk.

 

Yep... not to mention my fail lunch meet that had heaps of interest....
Strange though how we get such a massive turnout for cruises like the GOR run... maybe its that Victorians are so busy and need so much time in advance???

But even for the GOR, before the event there are heaps more people who put their hands up to attend, then you watch - they drop like flies into the last week before the event.

Yep. Most of the Vic events are attended by the same 'core' group (as Altered State puts it). There are lots of people who say they are coming but just flake when push comes to shove. And it's shit for the people who try to organise cruises. If you aren't attending, don't say you are unless you are certain. If you are a maybe, then say you are a maybe. Pretty simple.

And anyone can step up and organise a cruise...

Where bouts in the yarra valley? I run a restaurant in Eltham, so a cruise out this way would be great! Ive tried organising cruises through Kinglake a few times, but no interest... Would be good, i go in for a Nistune on tuesday so should be ready to roll afterthat....

FYI, my club (whilst not being all 300's - sorry HAHA) has an by-monthly meet on the last tuesday of everymonth @ garage cafe, as well as an 'official' event every few months, and every week on thursday in mitcham..
