    No that's a good thing.

I don't think so but we've got to make sure, trial fit will be in the next week or two

"This shows the match porting performed and we found the intake system can be opened up quite a lot to increase volume and match ported for smoother flow. Also converted to top feed injectors Nismo 555cc with custom top fuel rail that sits above the plenum.. "

    Timeframe

UAS are getting a rail in stock for test fitting to my motor (early plennum design, SARD 800cc injectors) to make sure it all fits as planned. There is enough stock for a group buy so if everything goes well with the trial fit i should be able to start a group buy on these in around two weeks.

Questions and answers for UAS rails

OK this one is Shifters fuel rail that was made to suit top feed Nismo 555cc injectors. Big job (compared to fitting aftermarket rail in factory location), and with the price and availability of these new style rails totally unneccesary. You can now achieve the same results with aftermarket lower rail and sard (or other) side feed injectors. In short this was the best option for that motor at that point in time but now somewhat redundant...

At the moment we presume old style only... don't have a 95+ plennum hanging around to play with :D If you have a newer plennum and are serious about buying one of these rails to suit send me a PM I'm sure we can work something out.

Already answered this one but wanted to make sure nobody misses it. There's a rail on the way for my car which will be the test mule -heaps of stock etc available but UAS want to do a trial fit to make sure it's 100% before they start selling. If everything goes as planned I should be able to open up a group buy in two weeks.

Price will be roughly $550 for five or more but again this needs to be confirmed. First step at this stage is trial fit and then we can start crunching numbers

awesome news..keep us informed. will the rails fit nismo 740 injectors as there currently only available for use with the newer style fuel rails or the 300 degree ones

Yep they certainly will. This rail is available in four different configurations to suit factory, nismo, SARD, etc injectors -if a group buy ends up going ahead on rails i'll make sure injectors are on offer at a good price as well.

    SARD would be cheaper

when I bought my sard 650's it was the same price to go 800's, cost about $660 delivered. Granted I needed collars but with the job TekTrader did they were only about $120 delivered also. With these rails you wont need the collars so might be better off with getting SARDS ;)

Good good -fits nicely and I have some pictures that I'll put up later today. Progress has been a little slow I'm using some different injectors now and have some interesting pics and info for all... Yes SARD fit the rail but my builder and tuner did not like the spray pattern so I am using something different.

Anyway will put up pics and a better writeup when I have a minute later today.

    UPDATE ON UAS RAILS

OK I promised more info last week and finally here it is.

So the rail is in stock (has been for a couple of weeks but the guys have been very busy with some more urgent work...), SARD 800cc injectors fit very nicely but I am selling these in favour of an 850cc pintle type unit.

A couple of mods were needed, nothing major but the guys have changed the following

    • bolts changed from allen key to cap style
    • slight milling of the collars as they rubbed on the upper plennum

needless to say any kits sold would be a true bolt on ie all of the above already done in-shop.

I don't have any pictures of the kit with the SARD injectors fitted and as I mentioned I'm waiting on some new injectors so it's not currently fitted to the engine. I do have some AVIs though does anyone know if I can host those???

    throw them up on youtube!

So the fuel rail accepts sard injectors without the need of the sard injector collars? Correct? Same size o-rings that are supplied with the sards?

What is the price going to be?

    Sounds good

lol youtube is blocked here at work

Yes that is correct. The SARD specific kit inludes everything you will need to fir SARD side feed injectors. O-rings, collars, nuts and bolts, the lot -it's a complete bolt in kit. I will also have some 800cc injectors up for sale at a bargain price :D

Haven't confirmed it at this stage but $500-$550. I'll send an email right now about that...

    hmmm

let me know on what price you want for the injectors

im tempted to goto 800's over my 650's now that im going for a bigger turbo setup than originally planned.

    Another update already...

Just heard back on my email re: price -UAS are still testing with fitment and spray patterns etc. As mentioned somewhere above there are a couple of different configurations with different types of injectors. They have some more coming in this week and want to check ALL the options for fitment, the depth the injector sits at, and the spray pattern before pricing and selling them.

Patience will definately be rewarded and I'll keep everybody posted.

Hey Rob, can you send me a PM with your thoughts on the spray pattern of the SARD 800cc's and why you decided to go back to a pintle style injector? Additionally, which pintle style injector is 850cc?

    Claymen Active Member

    why not pintle-less injectors?

I thought most people were going to pintle less because of ethanol etc

How does that improve the spray pattern?
