The weather is just so unpredictable this time of the year... Plus it sounds like the roads all cut up!

I'm not too concerned about weather. So if there is a way around the roadworks to get us to Apollo Bay then I'm still on-board.

 

Im off to Appollo Bay this Thursday and staying a week, so will look out for you all on Sunday if it doesnt get postponed.
I wont have any of my zeds there though.

Just had a look at the weather forecast & it doesn't look good. Looks like it will be raining all weekend...I think postponing is a good idea especially with the low numbers at this stage & with roadworks

I can if I get a chance to take a drive in that direction.

I will be going into Apollo Bay from the north (Colac and Forest), not along the GOR.

Another option, you can divert off the Ocean Road, and inland as there is an inland road that runs from Geelong to Forest. You might be able to go to Lorne, then inland to Forest, then down to Apollo Bay. The road from Forest to Apollo Bay is great for zed driving, lots of curves and scenic through green forests.

sunday's forecast is possible showers but <1mm. nothing to concern about but the roadworks is a worry.

 

Kingy has literally had 3-5 routes to choose every year he's been involved & he always runs them all prior to the day so he knows the state they're in, calm down guys this will go ahead.
Now stop moaning about numbers, weather, etc & just enjoy it!

I don't want roadworks dust or the possibility of a stone chip in my zeds paintwork

I don't enjoy sliding around on PUBLIC roads due to wet or otherwise dangerous roads

I like the weather DAMN HOT but if its raining so be it

I've attended MORE than anyones fair share of road accidents over the years, I don't need to get a higher score.......





The run is on the last sunday of November --- end of story, the only other reason it would shift would be if the MAJORITY of members wanted it moved, or I call a postponement due to dangerous road conditions where members could be injured as a result of an accident.



As for those that cant come because they have paperwork to sign on Monday or it wont be 26.333 degrees or because you don't have anyone to hold ya hand.....
I have the best excuse NOT to go, my back is stuffed and I know BADZX will hurt me for a few days after the run, regardless I'm going.
If your not going I wont miss ya, I'll be with the real enthusiasts while your at home remembering what it was like when you actually had balls

Just to clarify...

Kingy, just wanted to make it clear, that the only reason I'm not coming this year is because I am double booked on that day and have another event I have to attend. Otherwise, I would have been there as always.

But yes, weather and attendance numbers are poor excuses for not going And as it has been many times on the GOR, the weather might start out shit and then fine up during the day when on the GOR. Have fun guys

 

I was always going no matter what, I was only concerned about the said Road works and what would happen in that case. I'm just disappointed in the numbers this year....and in general the lack of Vic cruises. Anyway, that's their loss not mine.
