    hi guys,

im sorry if this question has been answered (it probably has) but i did a search and came up with not much in the way of my situation.

I bought a set of 17x7' rims for my magna a while ago that i never ended up getting fitted.

soon i'll be buying a Z32 and im curious to know whether these rims will fit or if i should sell them and save for others.

the rims I have are 17x7 with a +38 offset.

    thanks in advance

    -Ian.

They'll fit. Same PCD and offset is no problem.

Bit thin for the rear though. Much more power through the drive wheels than a FWD manga. I wouldn't run them. Sell them and spend a touch more for some wider (8.5" - 9.5") on the rear.

yeah thats what I was thinking too. i mean i'd only be buying an NA but i dont know because ive not driven one before, how taily are they?

How heavy is your right foot?

The NA has around 200hp, and weighs in at over 1400kg. You need more than a 7" rim. You ideally would like to run a 245 or 255 tyre on the back. This means an 8.5" rim will be perfect.

i have a set of 245/45/17 tyres. but ill take your word for it and look for new rims:( these were really nice too...lol

Look, others may want to comment on running such a tyre and profile on a 7" rim. It's been done I know, but I wouldn't do it.

The other possibility, is that the wheels are actually 7.5" Do you have a sticker saying they are 7"?

well this is where it gets confusing. ive had the tyres for a while because i have a damaged set of 17x7 rims in my backyard. they were running 245's.

the new ones are definately 17x7', its stamped on the inside of the spoke.. the reason i was keen to put them on is because theyre quite light compared to other wheels ive had.

not wide enough... you'll have trouble keeping traction on the rear even with a 7.5.

get these... cheap for what they are!
    Staggered TE37's!

    front 17x9 +15 rear 18x9.5 +12
you'll have more then enough traction with those and a slightly wider track with those offsets... that and it would look mental!

do you know what brand they are?
there most likely light because they are not a wide wheel...
look on yahoo auctions for a good quality set of jap wheels, you'll easily find something very nice, very wide and well priced.

btw keep in mind mind are replicas so thats why they were cheap. each rim weighs 8.0k oth thereabouts...

I was going to say, to fit those, you'd better be pretty hand with the angle grinder and fibreglass.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

hammer, gas blow torch, a piece of pipe and some patience is all you need to make the wheels fit the guards... fibreglass is only needed if your going extreme widebody!

All right while parked on a Billiard Table(but it would be a whole different story when it encountered the slightest bump or dip). Bloody ridiculous combination IMHO(but what would you expect from Yanks)?

Pretty sure that guy has rubbing or steering issues. It's been bought up before...can't quite remember what it was.

Front looks gay IMO. Rolled/pumped fronts just doesn't do it for me, it's very uneven.

yeah... i'd say with a 17x10 on the front with those offset's he'd scrub something major, but am 8.5 or 9 at the front in a +10 or 12 would be sweet, i used to run 17x9 +22 and never scrubed at full lock.

i've seen alot of zeds with rolled guards and unless its done very slowly it always turns out with slightly squared edges, on the skylines and silvia's its fine but not on zeds IMHO
but seriously... no one ever said it had to be functional now did they
