Not my best time so hopefully I can imrpove but I just want to stick to road tyres like AK. What I drive on the road I want to race.
my first ever 1/4 run and i got 13.1 pass and that was with bogging it down. i think if i learn to take off nicely i can run around 12.5. I got a real nice take of against Ports, but then stupidly shifted from 2nd to fifth lol Damn homeboy/gangsta shifting gotta go as jp said hahaha :zlove:
My timeslip: 60ft time was a tenth off my best but still 0.15 sec and 1MPH quicker than last time out with the new exhaust/specialty dumps fitted.
I was just taking my time Not as though I was racing anyone, so I enjoyed the pretty light show on the tree.
Nice run, although it seems a little slow for such a quick 60' time. You should be well into the 11's there...
Obviously there are a gazillion variables, I'm just saying that's an incredible 60' time for only a flat 12 second pass. I've seen Z's with slower 60 foots than that making mid 11 second passes, but as I said alot of variables so that doesn't mean much... It's a GOOD thing, your car is faster than that I bet! I would improve the run by converting to single turbo and make 9s and 10s! lol
I haven't even seen a Zed do an 11 second pass, peno's slot car did a 10, but I have never witnessed an 11 let alone one running a slower 60' time. I obviously have missed something.
Well we agree On one thing that it is an incredible 60' time for what it is, Don't forget this is a daily driver weighing a ton and a half running on pump gas with just on 300 killer wasps. Not a full blown race car a few hundered kilos lighter and a couple of hundered killer wasps more on jungle juice. Sure i could stick a big single turbo on it with plenty of boost and scare myself sh*#less, but i don't think it would be much fun to drive in Sydneys peak hour traffic or on cruise days. 11 seconds will come, just need to shed a bit more weight, pick a night when the track temperature is better, (very cold and slippery on wednesday) And fix up my actuators (bleeding off a couple pounds of boost on the run) and it will happen.:biggrin:
I'm not just talking about Australia here obviously... I just know someone in the U.S with a slower 60' time that made a 11.5 pass (in a Z31 though) but I was just comparing numbers, because Wizards 60' is killer. It's absolutely awesome for a daily man! haha I'm sure it would be a bit of a prick to drive in traffic at 3.5bar boost! hehe With those other things you mentioned, I knew it wasn't all adding up. I see a mid to low 11 in your near future! What then? Tubbed, T4, auto w/ transbrake? hehe Time for a new daily then!

Yep missed a great night One of the best things was nobody broke anything, can only think of wokkie having to drain his catch can, think that was the only drama.
how do you know were his car starts making the power ,, his 60 footer don't really mean anything....it is good though i think its a good time ,, job well done . he can improve when he wants to ,,,,
A race is won or lost in the first 60' the majority of the time, what I'm saying is his car is faster than a 12 that's for sure which is a good thing! It's an impressive beast for a daily for sure and can only improve as you said.
