    Engine Start-Up after Timing Belt Install

    Further update:

    I started the motor today and all seems good - started first pop too, without hesitation!

    Then I noticed a very slight tinny rubbing sound, I think it might be the outer belt keeper touching the lower belt housing. So, off I go to see what's slightly touching what...

    I'm getting there.;) Not far now.

    Hi all,

    Finally, the remainder of the parts were installed today and she is running like a beauty, I'm so happy.:)

    A little concerned with the timing value as I don't recall the value going upto 40 degrees when above idle. I'll have to look up the setting to see how it works again.

    Next, oil and filter service and I'm good to go for another 100 000 kms - yeah.

    Easy isn't it.:cool: I was lucky enough to spend all day detailing my car for 2morrows run. If the suns out should be some burnt out retinas:zlove:
