Well....my baby's back from her weekend experience....She's back and purring like a kitten...thanks to Minivan and ZRATED!!

They performed a 100 000km service and a clutch change in one day....while also doing other jobs on another two or three Z's that day... (no idea how they had the time haha)

Thanks for the great job, time and effort put in to fixing my Z...

ps. i owe you guys a drink!

oh.. and i cleaned the 15 years of skanky japanese volcano that managed to build up inside your cam covers and front of your engine.. the cam seals were leaking pretty bad too

new rear main seal and needle roller spigot bearing (most people only give you factory brass shite)

all the gear off the engine (can see all the cam and crank seals removed)

all the new stuff back on.. doesnt that water pump look pretty

your girl with her legs in the stirrups for her surgeory (had to find a balance between high enough to do the clutch but low enough to do the 100kk at the same time.. lets just say we both had a sore back by the end of the day.. haha

Love the work you guys have done. That's awesome!!

BTW andrew, sorry I didn't get down to your work yesterday. emergency commitment :<

    My loss tho ;>

Heard you can reset the ECU by unplugging the battery and putting your foot on the brake pedal for about 5 mins. Is that true?

    Cheers

you can reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery and waiting about an hour, then reconnecting... putting your foot on the brake pedal is only to drain the residual power that may be left when the battery is disconnected...

give it an hour though, i waited about 45mins once and put the battery back on... didn't reset it so i had to wait another hour... hahaha

just buy a blazt cable and nissan datscan... it's worth the ~$150

Yeah, should probably invest in it, but money is always an issue (especially given that I am going to need a new IAA :< ).

Got some body work being done by FibreZ soon and have almost got all the parts for my manual conversion (when UAS get all the parts together). Then there are some parts coming from CRESTA and i'm getting the stainless steel door sills etc.....

Going broke at a rate of knots (won't be able `to afford beer soon ;D )

    Cheers

It was a 9 button xtreme clutch wasn't it? I got that with 2500 lb pressure plate and it doesn't feel any heavier than my old clutch.

If it's how it's meant to be and you got no booster prob, I guess you could go one of them aftermarket clutch forks some time down the track.

nah mike, it's not a nine puck....

    and booster works fine.

    just a hevy plate.

The one sitting in my bedroom now is 9 puck, hopefully i wont need a clutch booster...

depends on how soft you are mikey *wink*

if you're a man, you don't need a clutch booster! hahahahha

nah, being an NA you don't have one and it will feel a bit stiffer... but you should be ok.

You should be fine you sook ;D

Mind you, I am getting a clutch booster for my NA because it came as part of the package, but could be convinced to swap with you for a small fee ;>

    Cheers

mike, the 9-puck has nothing to do with the pressure on the pedal.. its all in the pressure plate spring tension.. which clutch plate you put in the middle doesnt effect it

also.. for what you paid for you clutch.. id assume they machined your fly and pressure plate and didnt give you a new one

tordeks is a remanufactured pressure plate with increased clamp load and full face organic clutch plate
