not sure how anyone could think that loooks nice, looks neglected as ****? im glad you have the heart to bring it upto scratch, in it's current state looks like a cheap nasty Z look forward to seeing you change that
hit the nail on the head man, definetly on the cheap side trying to not be a tight ass and doing things right the first time haha cheers man Update: been a good week this week, been like christmas. packages wating on my bed for me when i get home from work putting up pics and details later tonight :zlove:
hey guys, pics as promised. so far i have received some new rays locknuts. They make a feather seem heavy! And big cheers to bryan at the zed shed (brytech) as i got this A/C compressor from him. He is a real asset to the community, top bloke to do business with! hopefully it wont take long before this goes in, its getting pretty warm in Mildura! more to come in the next few days, keep an eye out
more parts arrived today hmm what is in the box? F1 stage 2 clutch kit from grip masters in the u.s. also got a lightweight chromolly flywheel The ever growing pile o' parts in my room
apparently it takes 7 hours to change the a/c compressor here i was thinking it would take me maybe four hours, nope.. car is going in for a gas up tomorrow morning, fingers crossed i have no leaks If people are keen for me to do so, i can do a write up on how to change one of those bastard pricks around, that would also include a part coolant/radiator refill write up. will include picks. Hope to see a few zedders tomorrow in renmark :zlove: peace.
ill attempt a write up this week sometime i put my zed in for a A/C re-gas Saturday morning at 10am, i was quite nervous i was going to get a call saying that there was refrigerant pissing out everywhere because i didnt put something in right. BUT instead i got a call at 11am saying she was all good! working A/C on a zed! to my mech skills went straight over there, grabbed the keys and proceeded to make the trip over to renmark for the riverland auto expo. Meeting up face to face with Jedi-77 WYKKED and RedZedMikey and looking over there pride and joys made my day, definitely was great to meet fellow enthusiasts and their cars heres a few pics i took during the trip really liked the carbon gauge surround wykked has shiny couple of 'liners i liked mock up gtr, minus the rb26 :banned: Like a boawwsss Hemi charger with 4 exit pipes either side of the car  ive seen this car at 2 shows and i find it more impressive every time! Driving home we got held up at the bridge as it was lifted for a house boat to pass underneath. found some amusement from this van stopped in front of us haha  Also made some progress on the interior, audio and a few other bits n pieces this weekend. will post it up here tomorrow night. cheers, josh
7 hours? shouldn't take that long to chang e an ac compressor unless you only have 1 arm... always a good feeling when you learn you have no leaks in the system though! touch wood.
cheers mate i do love this car, people didnt agree with me buying this car. but the best part about it are its imperfections! fixing bits n pieces at a time myself is really enjoyable hopefully one day, yours will work to it took 7 hours of on and off work, plus i only had a vague idea of what i was doing, i just kept removing bolts and it eventually fell out Also i did flush out the radiator/engine block, as you have to remove the radiator in order to even attempt this sort of thing. pic of coolant i removed from my car Note: i did flush out everything best i could, hopefully it wont get this bad ever again! who knows how long this stuff was in there for!!!
new head unit in as of yesterday! installed myself, not to hard to do if you can read basic wiring diagrams. I reckon i would of done a better job than guys u pay tho throw one in, as i took my time to get in into the perfect position, and as always nothing ever fits right so i had to modify some things to get it to fit Brought a Sony headunit from supercheap on sunday as they had 30% off most of there stock, got this little beauty for $160  looks the goods once lit up, will go well with my interior once i finish it all up. The overall look i want if just a factory look with some subtle modifications, nothing in your face. For you audio heads, im currently running a 400w 4ch eclipse amp with unknown 3 way phillips 6" front speakers, no rears just yet and now the sony head unit. Future plans are to get a rockford fosgate punch p2 sub, alpine type r speakers front and back. after that the audio should be satisfactory OK so here are some pics my mrs took while i was putting the new toy in. old clarion head unit, everything except the radio function was broken everything unboxed spaghetti everywhere! melooking busy getting there Test fit now at this stage i figured out that the normal mounting position wasnt gonna cut it, so i had to use the sleeve it came with to slide the face out further so i could fit the surround in. drilled some holes and cut some screws, came up all good! Then tried to fit the fit the surround plate that goes around the head unit face to cover the gaps, no go. i ended up filing down both the top and bottom so it would slot into the din pocket. Came up a treat! better than a professional
bucket 'o money more like it cheers bud! should look even better once i get my other bits for the interior OH SNAP!! "Juice?! what the **** is juice? nigga i want some Purple!!" service is in order this weekend
quick update: brought some ngk platinum plugs today cost me a friggen arm and a leg!! also a sneaky peak of what this weekends project will be start with this: and keep going till u get it like this.... hmmm somethings missing tho, i wonder what it could be peace. and yes i know there too different calipers
Rollin' on new kicks hey guys bit of an update went for a small drive yesterday to Adelaide (8 hour round trip) to a blokes house to pick up a set of 5 R33 gtr rims :br: got home at around 4.30pm and the proceeded to clean all the caked on break dust off. fitted them and went bed, could sleep with all the excitement i had tho Anyways took some pics today, so enjoy Note: there is not spacers here, the wheels hang out the tiniest bit from the guards and amazingly do not scrub, even on full lock Its hard to get a good picture of how they sit on the car, you just have to see for yourself Also if anybody wants to get smart about my fly screen on the front of the car, GTFO [TIS] this is a daily and there is locusts everywhere in mildura now
r33 gtr rims really suit the Z looking good! off topic: we should import tarantula's from america to take care of the locusts !
