congratulations your older than myself.... each cop is different, just cos you would be an arrogant arsehole of a cop dont mean all are... im not a fan of cops but for you to sit there on a high horse of sorts and dictate the exact thoughts of the police involved is pretty arrogant.... stick to the facts rather than adding your personal opinion to every little item... adding that to everything is just stupid cos how could you have the same opinion as those involved down to the dot...
A: Steven was using a bit of artistic license to paint a picture of the general scenario that would have led to the Defect Notice(and as such, painted a realistic scene). B: Analyzing possible "Cause & Effect" scenarios is NOT arrogance, it is good, experienced research into 'Keeping out of Trouble 101'. C:You will hopefully learn this on your journey to adulthood, presumptuous youth.:zlove:
if he had been driving mum's Toyota Corolla If he had been driving his mum's Toyota Corolla (or equivalent) home from the gym would he have been pulled over and the car gone over... I think not. If he had been pulled over for a RBT then that is also another thing. But when you have one police car joined by two others then they definitely think you are up to something ... AND THAT IS THE FACTS.
what amazes me is that the cops reckon they are short staffed and cant attend crimes in a timely fashion, yet we hear stories like this which indicate they are over staffed with nothing to do. .
Thank you for the support Chili ... Thank you for the support Chili ... Actually in my industry it is called scenario analysis. You start with the facts & rules, see what the end results have been in previous cases and with that knowledge you can build up a relatively accurate model for determining the outcomes in future situations. If he wants to call that arrogance then fair enough, cause I get paid pretty well to do it. END OF TOPIC from me.
He resides in the worst possible place, Goulburn, the home of the police acadamy, There are at any given time, more police per head of population than anywhere else in the country, with plenty of time on their hands. Plenty of horror stories on any car forum from Goulburn. Oh and the Nissan nationals are back there in 2011.
I Might be arrogant But i'm not as slow as some other arrogant old bastards, remember the Goulburn on ramp, two zeds, one got away, the other was left to grovel their way out of it. Where was the camera when you need it.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
Baffle and BOV's Hey Procky. I've been pulled over while minding my own business for no reason at all many times over the years. So I can relate and feel your pain. Once it happens a few times you learn quickly what you need to do to keep it from happening again. It's a pain in the arse putting a car back over the pits. It's time consuming and just plain annoying, especially when you didn't break any real road rules, like speeding. Your list is quite substantial though. I think when they said "Baffle" they are referring to silencer's. They are placed on the muffler tips to quieten the exhaust. Basically, they are a smaller opening and they usually screw on. If you look at the tip of your exhaust, if it has a hole in it somewhere, it means you can screw one on. I have GFB BOV's. They fit in the stock location just like the OEM recircs. So as long as you have all the original hoses etc, you should be fine switching them over. If you want to run them in recirc mode, you'll need the blanking plug, which comes with the kit anyway. Also, put the splash guard back on under your POD filter. There's another reason to keep it there for anyone else who doesn't have it. One of the best things about the Zed is having the POD and BOV's outside the engine, away from eyes. That would of saved you a lot of mucking around. Live and learn though right...good luck. Cheers Rob.
Which are actually more illegal than not having them If you have silencers they have to be welded in.
the baffel is the part inside the muffler that muffles the sound (see below) if you have a straight through type muffler then theve got you there , even though lots of cars and motorcycles have them as you say. id like to know did they shine a tourch up your pipe or did they just guess ? .
Baffles are pretty much mufflers, cannons are straight through and open, therefore no baffles. Its more of a term used on bikes. Good luck with it all, suprising you didn't get done for gauges on a-pillar, as anything above the dash is an obstruction, therefore defect.. though everyone is allowed to drive around with a gps on the middle of there windscreen :bash:

The way I remember that episode was, a kindly elderly gentleman sacrificing himself(without a thought for his own well-being)so that his friend could scurry away like some terrified little sheila. BTW, the camera was in the Patrol Car.:zlove:
You can remember? At your age that has got to be a plus. I like you better when your fighting with K-zed, so get back up your tree and play with your bone. Wrong tree, Lloyd
