[AUS] ZED FEST EASTER...

Finally got the final word......

on Bathurst.
The answer is a no.
We possibly could have been able to get on to the track if we had entered for the weekend and that was only a possible.
I really don't think even if we had entered, even just as a display, that we would have been allowed on the track as there are display groups attending that apparently are disappointed that they wont get to have a run.
Sorry all, I did try but it is a big event they are organizing up there and to squeeze us in was just not possible.
Oh well, maybe another time (like when its not easter....)

Wyangala Dam and township is not that far.

The lake, when full, is magnificent, but unfortunately it is only about 15 % of capacity at the moment. http://waterinfo.nsw.gov.au/sr/Wyangala.html It is still a pretty place.

I have owned a farm on the other side of the lake from the Wyangala township for quite a while, but access is via Bigga down the Grabine road which is 4WD only unfortunately, otherwise all would be welcome for a rural barbie.

Count me out of Cowra.

I've just spent (and still spending) shitload of $ getting Z ready for Cowra and now not going to make it.

Had firewall forward soda blasted (stripped back to bare metal) probably a month ago and then shipped car to smash repairers to do a warranty fix on an existing problem, plus cosmetic work, including respraying engine bay.

Car was due back to me in a couple of days at the absolute latest. Just rang to see if it will be on time and other than a few minor bits and pieces it more or less hasn't even been started yet.

Got told no way for Easter. Even if I got the car back before than, no way can I get it all back together in time (any one who has completely stripped a TT will know what I'm talking about).

Looks like the work thing I had said no to, is back on.....

So so so very pissed off.

Sorry, rant over now.

Almost forgot, I'm about to ring the Alabastar Motel (02 6342 3133) and cancel my booking. So anyone having trouble finding somewhere to stay, better be quick.

Golp! Last time I played golp, I went round in 143... and that was only for 9 holes. Oh! I think I just figured out what the Bradman trophy is for! My playing partner had a massive slice, and I hook, sometimes up to 90degrees. We only saw each other in the carpark before and after the game (I jest... we did meet up at each tee). But, it might be a bit of a hoot to get the sticks out again.

 

I've booked a night in Young on the Friday night and will drive to Cowra in the morning on the Saturday and drive back home Saturday night.

Where can I catch up with all you guys during the day?

They are ordered and tie in with the badges, the Lanyards and Stubby holders that I expect everyone to purchase on the Saturday or maybe Friday night if you are really keen.....
