I finally found this thread, don't know why it took 12 months.

We booked in at the Civic which is next to the golf course on the opposite side of town. (Can we get some piece and quiet there ? )

    Cowra and things to do

    Hi
I live in Cowra {28 years} and i just brought my first Zed ony 9 days ago { working hard to get it on the road in time}. Guys that want a bit off fun should get a group together and do a run to Bathurst and do some hot laps around Mount Panorama. Bathurst is only about 1hr and 15mins away. There is another place, Wyangala Dam that is worth drive to have a look {35mins}. The dam wall is huge and would make a mad pic with a heap of Zeds on it.
If you would like to know any more, i would be happy to help.
    Thanks Andrew

Thanks for the heads-up on the Dam, unfortunately the Bathurst run is a very doubtful maybe because they have an event on over Easter. We have requested the possibility of doing a parade lap but have to wait till closer to the date for the organisers to make a decision.

    Hi shazza

In regards to your itinerary, have a look at notes I have put in.......

Fri: All start arriving at the hotel....Meet & Greet Not all are staying at the Hotel, there are various venues.
Fri nite: Dinner and drinkies at the hotel Sounds good to us but which Hotel and someone needs to nominate a time and book an area as there will be alot of us.

    Sat:
8am: BBQ Brekkie for everyone or just everyone do their own thing for brekkie individually? Individually sounds good for brekkie as in the past not all get up early LOL.
    >> Eat Easter Eggs << Go the chocky, I'm there. Just watch the ants, as we speak from experience.
[Take photos with Easter bunny (Easter Baz or Easter Benny_C hahah)
10am: Clean and wash zeds ready for Cruise Cruise to where? Some people will have their own adgendas for the day as do we, which if we cannot go to Bathurst (still in the organising) we will do the Japanese Gardens etc.
12noon: Head off on Cruise & Photoshoot If people wish to do this, would look great. You will need to get peoples feed back on this.
5pm: Back at Hotel - Judging of Trophies? Judging will be done on Sunday at the Show and Shine. It takes about 4 hours approx.
7pm: Dinner at restaurant with everyone We had planned on a BBQ at the Caravan Park, as it was more laid back and people didn't have to spend a fortune on dinner.

Sun: 6:30am - Golf, for those up early Go for it you keen bunnies.
10am: Wash & Clean zeds & Mini Tech Day if needed lol Not sure as to time for Show and Shine start, still working on that.
Cruise to some nice places for more photoshoots After driving for a day to get there, we would prefer to do some walking.....
Lunch somewhere Lunch will be at the Caravan Park as if you enter the show and shine, there will be no cruising until judged.
Cruise to the racetrack for photoshoot on the startup grid? Still working on that, it is a possibility that this may not be possible, due to another major event being held at Bathurst on this weekend.

Trophy presentation This will take place, at this point, at a venue for dinner, yet to be decided.
Dinner and more drinkies/party at motel til late into the nite Don't know about the late night part, alot of K's to cover the next day LOL.

    Mon: Brekkie
Packup stuff and get zeds ready to leave
Say our farewells and wish everyone a safe trip back home
That is once again up to the individual and thier travel plans.

Note, this is a very rough outline and we will have a more refined itinerary mid to end of Feb in regards to the show and shine, dinner on Sat night, dinner on Sunday night and the Bathurst bit. People also need to keep in mind that members are scattered across different venues for accommodation but the largest concentration is in the caravan park, and as such this will be the base for the event (not to mention the Caravan Park being generous enough to allow us to use thier grounds to have the show and shine).

Hope this bit of an update helps all.
Any questions just post, I'm sure me or Wykked will reply at some point when we get time.

PS: All you younger members, please make an effort to attend......

    Hi! got some info

I live in cowra, so i can try to help if it's need. For drinks at a pub i would say the Valley, it has a nice big open deck out the front. I good drive could be to the dam, it about 30mins and has water slids and a club for a soft drink lol. At the dam there could be some great spots for photos. For the BBQ i am a meat wholesaler and we sell to all NSW. So i don't know how you do it, but if you charge say $10 a pack for rump stake and sausage or what ever i can get it cheap. I could also get a local butcher to do a deal with each member that buys from there, may even get the boss to donate some rumps. Just let me know if any off these sound any good.
    Thanks Andrew

Best to PM Blondie. I think she may post something closer or suprise us when we get there. There is a post that Blondie put an edit on a draft that Shazza Zedder made to give you an idea of something that may become more concrete, it's toward the end of the (long) Cowra thread.

This ZedFest will be more of a Magical Mystery Tour than Coonabarrabran.

    I PM'd Blondie

ages ago & never received a reply.
So this is standard procedure for these events?
Just show up & do your own thing?

There is a basic adgenda in an earlier post which will be worked out to time/venue details closer to the event. As far as Blondie not PMing you back, did you think to send an email? PMs are designed to be quick messages, often sent while the other member is on line. They are not to be used to replace email. A lot of members read the forum without logging on unless they actually need to reply so never know that they have PMs waiting for them. If you want to get a message to a member send them an email.

That's a bit difficult Pete as she has that piece of functionality disabled in her user profile.

Sorry, didn't realise she had turned that off. I guess she did it once she left TTZ last year so that she didn't get any emails regarding that business. I'll turn it back on.

    How about some consultation.....

And yes I did turn it off for that reason.
I do check my Pm's but not as frequently as most, at best it is usually once a month.
I check the Mustang Forum though, does that count? :p
Anyway, sorry for the lack of posting (not wanting to become a post whore), but I will endeavour to check my Pm's once a week.....LOL

    Sydney to Cowra

Expressions of interest in travelling to Cowra via Yass (from Southern Sydney).
It takes approx 4 hours from Hurstville, probably a bit longer on the Easter W/E.
NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS once on the M5!
