[AUS] ZED FEST EASTER...

baz ... here youse and me go again .. good to keep

the thread bumped .... lol...

accommodation: the caravan park booked out very quickly .. but several members have booked at motels close by .. a quick run through the thread will give you the names of a couple of suitable motels in the vicinity...

zedfest: for me, the fun and value of these meets is the social get together of heaps of common interest zedders .. meals, drinks, conversations all with a shared interest .. and then the range of magic zeds which will blow your mind ...

activities: the program, as i understand has not been fully developed, pending finalisation of whether we can get a run around the bathurst circuit ..

.. but normally there will be a good cruise, a show and shine .. and i will organising a fun 9 hole round of golf .. and jen(blondie - organiser) has mentioned a group visit to the japanese gardens ....

all is usually wrapped up with a big farewell and prize presentation dinner on the sunday night .... and friday and saturday nights usually turn out to be fun get togethers over dinner of some sorts ...

Thursday arvo ...

... we'll be passing through your area en-route to Woollongong and a stopover at Caz's Zed Emporium :zlove: , then a leisurely cruiZe to Cowra on Friday mid-morning.

Black Baz & hopefully Karl - 90TTZ + a few others will also join our convoy and avoid the worst of Easter Friday traffic.

 

COWRA zedfest ... POLO SHIRTS .. coming .....!!!!

Blondie and Wykked have kindly agreed that i can pick up the arrangements for the manufacture and supply of POLO SHIRTS for the cowra event ...

following a few discussions, it has been agreed that the shirt quality and design will appoximate closely,those produced for the COONA zedfest ... and those were a fine product, indeed ....

.. so, this post is a "heads up" for now .. with pics to follow in a week or two ...:zlove: :zlove:

it is intended that the shirts will sell for as close as possible to manufacturing price with no individual benefiting from the sale .. should there be any marginal/minimal profit, this will be credited to forum operating funds ....

COWRA .. bring it on .....!!!!

 

I think maybe an invitation for possible designs should be made known Baz? I know there are quite a deal of artistic folk amongst us (hello toowoomba!) that would have something to contribute to a worthy memento.

Something to ponder is name tags/badges? I'll look into that one

K-zed, as discussed pending baby temperament the silver streak will be in the procession although at the moment it looks like it will never run again

Sounds like a heap of fun, and after the obscene amount of money I'm spending, she better be ready in time...

We have such a great time at our small gatherings, Tech. days and cruises here in the ACT, that I really can't wait to meet as many other people out there in Zed land as I can!!!

Rough Itinerary ZedFest w.end?

Has anyone done a rough draft of the itinerary of the whole w.end for ZedFest yet?

Give ppl idea of what is happening on certain days.....such as:

Fri: All start arriving at the hotel....Meet & Greet
Fri nite: Dinner and drinkies at the hotel

Sat: 6:30am - Golf, for those up early
8am: BBQ Brekkie for everyone or just everyone do their
own thing for brekkie individually?
10am: Clean and wash zeds ready for Show n Shine
12noon: Show n Shine event
1pm: Trophy presentation
2pm: Zed Cruise & Photoshoot
7pm: Dinner at restaurant with everyone

Sun: Wash & Clean zeds & Mini Tech Day if needed lol
Cruise to some nice places for more photoshoots
Lunch somewhere
Cruise to the racetrack for photoshoot on the startup grid?
(still in talks with that or out of question now?)
Dinner and more drinkies/party at motel

Mon: Brekkie
Packup stuff and get zeds ready to leave
Say our farewells and wish everyone a safe trip back home

Sounds good Sharon, except for

the fact that there are several places that those attending are staying at.
The first place that was booked out was the local caravan park, then a couple of motels plus a pub or two.
How about we allow those that are organising this get together & determine just where everybody wil meet that is central to all participants.
Just a suggestion mind you. As I don't think the local pubs will be able to cater for some 40+ Zeds in their car parks. :biggrin:

Yeah, was just initiating the rough draft thought ...cause not much time til Zedfest. Who's the main organiser of the w.end?

Most ppl havent got accomm organised, and I have couple of other functions to go to, so just wanted a rough idea of what days r the better days and what time things r happening.

Was just generalising saying 'at the hotel', yeh 50 zeds all at one pub....what fun
