Hi guys, I've purchased the UAS rear strut brace from the group buy a while ago and trying to install it now, but the bolts on the car seem to have a shorter distance for the holes on the strut. Should I just redrill the strut to make the strut fit or is the another way to install it?
if you are talking about holes dont line up in millimetres ...jack the car up from the diff and towers will seperate enough for the strut bar to fit. thats how my powertrix one went in.
ive always done mine. with the car sitting on the ground. no jacking at all. works a treat your just making the job more difficult
I'll post some pics up later this afternoon when I come back from work, but as BLACK BEAST & Magic Mike was saying centre diff, jack it up little at a time till they align into the holes of the struts. And the rear struts fit beautifully, front strut wasn't so bad, perfect fit but had to disconnect the fuel filter hoses to get around the front brace.
Shock bolts falling through . I just changed my dampers and springs and I had the car fully jacked off the ground. To get the bolt threads to drop through I had to stand on the brake hub and push down really hard. Is there something wrong with my car?
Heres some pics. I only jacked it up by a centimetre then everything was blessed, phew... lucky i didnt redrill the brace. Now the only thing left is to figure out how I'm gonna trim my interior so I can put my interior back on. Front brace was easier than the rear. Thanks again for the quick reply guys.
