Love the Z32 shape!!! Owesome pieces of engineering/design IMHO. Amazing effort from Nissan to say the least. Also love the Skyline GTRs regardless of series.

had my zed a total of 3 years and 3 months. driven a total of 750km's. blown head gasket started a $10,000 long motor rebuild (still needs turbo's, management, intercooler etc.). then I got married and the project went on hold. Now the wife found someone better and the project is back in progress. MSP manifolds showed up this week. :)

5 years this year..1990 TT 2+2 auto...a Jap import, I've put about 40,000km on the car with very little trouble once I found a decent workshop in Wallards here in Melbourne and gave away a very indecent one The Z Shop.

Apart from never quite being able to get the rear windscreen washers to work
and a more recent problem with the rear stoplights it's been a great car once fettled by Wallards.

Yes I'm tempted by a GTR or perhaps a MB SLK230K which is unlikely to have the same torque. Have done a 3 x 1000km road trips in the Nissan this last year. It possibly needs some new shockers and springs. Aside from that while the resale value is a little disappointing the depreciation itself is very low.

"Happy car, happy life, unhappy car, unhappy life" I say. The 300Zx has been a very good experience post stupid Lindsay. It makes changing into something else a big question mark. Tempted as one might be for one of the new generation diesels getting around 4l/100km. But not doing a stack of km a year the 300ZX is manageable. See R33 GTRs are now in the low $20s and a bonus is I could continue on with Wallards who know these. Just not sure if a GTR would be as comfortable and as fun to drive as the 300 at legal speed limits.

    red32 You talkin' to me?

Seven years next February and all as a daily-driver. Done more tourist kms in the Zed than any other car I've owned. Second 100K service since I've had it is now due.

4 1/2 years (5 in July). Despite the steep learning curve at the start, have loved owning a Z and never want to get rid of it! Strangely enough, my Z was coming over by ship to Australia at the exact time I was in the air flying to Japan for a holiday.
