I've got a pair of DBA Gold series slotted and cross drilled rotors for a TT that I'm selling and have an interested buyer with an NA Zed, Would those rotors fit on the NA without new calipers? I suppose the real question is, are the rotors on a TT Zed the same size as the rotors on an NA Zed?
The answer to this could be easily found in the Tech Section. To answer your query, NO! TT rotors are thicker than NA rotors and therefore, any NA fitment would need the TT calipers as well(NA calipers will not fit over TT rotors).:zlove::zlove:
Those rotors will be DBA 909x which are Diametre 280mm Height 54mm Thickness 30mm NA's I believe use a 26mm thich rotor, so no yours will not fit unless they change to TT calipers. ...and while I was ****ing around looking for details Chili beat me to it!
Incorrect Eric Very few '91+ NA's were actually fitted with TT rotors/calipers despite Nissan's advice.
As of mid 91, alloy calipers were no longer fitted. All were cast iron and only available in 30mm. Well that's what the tech bulletins say.
Well man if ya still want I guess the easy fix is measure your rotors and I'll measure the one I have and we'll see if they're the same.
Those specs are probably related to JDM cars as my parts NA (1990) is fitted with 30mm rotors and cast iron calipers
Mine is 92 build with Alloy calipers. My understanding was the cast iron ones didnt appear till the 95 upgrade.
It's a bit of a ''lucky dip'' with rotors/calipers..... I'm afraid the ONLY way you can tell for sure is by measuring them. It appears Mr Nissan was raiding various brake "spare part bins" when it came to zeds rolling off the production line Add the fact that in the last 20 yrs a hell of a lot of "cannabilising" has occured throughout the zed community, and you are likely to find any possible combination on any model zed
