great to have your recommendation on oil, eric .......

... Australia's top Zed workshop (located in QLD) recommended Conoco (Hydroclear Gold) to me on my purchase of a Zed some 5 years ago ... some 18 months ago, Conoco exited the Australian market and was replaced by Kendall GT-1 (Conoco) which i have been using ever since ....

comforting to have your recommendation as another top, knowledgeable Workshop/Mechanic ... we are indeed fortunate to have the best of everything in God's Own ....

Conoco never completely left our shores Baz, it has always been available through wholesale suppliers which became too hard for most workshops to chase down. I have been using conoco in the heavy vehicles for quite a few years without issue of supply or quality and the price just tops it off. See my thread in FSBB for pricing.

My oil temp is usually 95c, water around 85. lately however, when stopped at lights etc the oil temp gauge rises to 110 +, cools down again when moving. However when the car is stationary with the engine off, I get coolant coming out of the overflow. It's never a lot, just a 100mil or less but it's bloody annoying. Now if it's just a run to the shops,10mins away, no coolant from the overflow. Topping up is useless because the radiator always shows full.
