will be great gonzo if you can take a photo when the front back on and bonnet close. p.s. maybe you could open a bbs thread that have all your products?
silver paint on inserts for those that are interested, when I refurbished my inserts, I gave the original plastic set 3 sequential light coats of silver/aluminium high temp BRAKE calliper rattle pack paint, and 3 years later, even with the HED units there has been absolutely no sign of discolouration or peeling.
Thanks No thanks button. Thank you for the reassuring information it should give piece of mind to people who wont to try these.
Gonzo What type of paint did you use for the chrome insert finish, what's the chances of discolourisation in the near term
I just used a chrome spray can for the chrome. I guess I will have to wait and see if they discolour.
Thanks Dave. Received the inserts and got them fitted up and put my car back together. Perfect fit and great worksmanship Looks awesome, really freshens up the front end of the car. With old headlights: New inserts: definitely worth the money * my car's a bit ugly and probably not the best example to show these off
Nice. Just a quick question: what sort of advantages do these give our zed when it comes to effectivity of the light during night time?
They look great its good to see them on another car besides mine at last. Glad to see u agree about how it changes the front.
Hopefully none, they shouldn't interfere with the light beam. If they do then we should be told as the effect may be detrimental and potentially illegal.
2K Headlight inserts So if you brought a 2000 spec Zx the lights would be illegal. These are taken from a factory model Nissan made car so why would it be illegal. And it does not effect the lights at night.
My point exactly. A factory model Nissan car that was never sold in Australia. The 2k spec can't be imported commercially so one would not know if the lights were ADR compliant. Since they do not interfere with the light beam there should be no problem. A simple thing such as eyelids are not legal in some places because they can interfere with the light beam. It was a valid question and thank you for answering it. If I ever feel like pulling out my headlights again I'll grab a set...
drove around in the dark just now, headlights seems to be unaffected by the inserts...didn't notice any difference in how bright the lights are.
that looks really good felix........ i really hope you end up coming to the cruise so that you can show of these on gonzos behalf, if they look that good in person you might have another sale gonz....
