    Hi,
Names Josh. I'll cut straight to the point my dad has just turned 47 and is having his own mid-life crysis. Now he wants to buy a 2 door sports coupe and he set down a few guide lines must have dual airbags and must be an auto (for my mum).

Now I showed him all the options from all the euro and Jap car makers and to summerarise he has decided to buy an 1994 or later 300ZX due to the dual airbags, He also wants a targa version (the version with the removable roof panels). He wants a mint car which has'nt been modded besides maby new muffers and some nice rims but that's at the most he'll accept he really would like a stocker. His budget is 20k at the max.

Anyway why I'm on this forum is to ask you Z32 owners of any model or year to ask if anyone would be willing to either give my father a passenger side seat demo of the car in action or if possible if highly unlikely let him slowly with you (the owner in the passenger seat) let him take it around the block. He can drive a manual.

I'd perfer someone with a car closer to stock engine but seriously if anyone comes forward to help a middle age man buy a 300ZX I'd be very thankful.

Right a little about what I drive. I'm a member of the Toymods car club I drive a 1982 Toyota Celica it's stock besides the 1984 MA61 Supra wheels but untill I get my Full licence I can't put in any 3SGTE or other toyota turbo engines.

We did consider the MK4 supra or soarers but he likes the 300ZX best.

    You'll

be better off importing a late model zed, you get dual ab's, and be on budget.

Blaxland Blue Mountains 10 minutes from Penrith (the place where the Penrith Panthers play) Since airbags are only driver side I assume I can get a 1992 model or later.

White 25th Anniversary 2+2 NA (aussie) ... mint condition

I heard a month ago from my mechanic (Mark at MRC) that a customer of his is looking at selling his recently purchased 1995 White 25th Anniversary 2+2 300ZX in mint condition at about this price range. I believe the new owner, loves the car but is suffering from back problems, so the zed turned out to be not such a good idea. The car is supposedly so clean, which is why the my mechanic thought I would be interested in purchasing it.

If he wants a trustworthy Z, with genuine k's that is stock.... and if he is not bothered by an N/A, you cant go pass Aus delivered IMO. Jap spec's (N/A's & Turbo's) can be all of these things too, but i think most members will agree there harder to find and the K's / servicing s are all to often suspect.

There's been consistent examples for sale around the country of late... and he wont have to spend 20k to get an immaculate one with low k's.

20k will get u a serious 300, probably a little overkill for what you mentioned... unless of course it has ridiculously low k's.....and @ 20k its likely to have been highly modified. For what your dad wants mate i wouldnt anticipate having to pay over 15... max. Dont expect to get a decent one under 10k tho. The aus delivered only came in targa's and 2+2's. Hope this helps.

I guess the question is does he want a turbo z???.. if not go an Aus spec mate. There's plenty of good Aus specs on the forum just brouwse members garages.

If he wants to go this way give ma a pm, Ill be happy to help.

Ok also to clarify people I notice the term targa on carsales is misused alot he wants a 2+2 1992 onwards with the 2 removable roof panels.

95% of Z32's are Targa. Only the slicktops and convertibles aren't and they are hard to find.

  17. Hi there, I'm just up the road from you...

First off, I aint sellin my baby (ever!) but so long as he's a decent driver I'd be happy to let him drive with me. I hardly see any zeds around the Mountains but i do know of a few, so yea let's get him a taste of zed-luv.

I have a 92 2 Seater 5speed manual, i'm in Winmalee so send me a pm if you like k and we'll take it from there.

    Cheers,
    Gina

Yep... White 25th auto is being considered for sale

Give Mark (MRC) a call on 02 9634 5399 (Castle Hill) and he should be able to put you in contact with the owner.
