Tom do you have any feedback on how these go with low speed drivability issues like the early DoolZ seem to suffer from?

I'd be keen on one but really don't want that problem.

They should be fine because the intake is linked.

Unnecessary potential complications from additional hardware for no removal of airflow restrictions. Some say a single afm can pull upto around 400hp worth before becoming restrictive.

Ive got one of these from Tom ready to go when i need it one day. It is a good bit of gear. Unreal price.

i got one of these with 2 uni filters. works a charm. Comes down a bit low and can get wet if you drive in rain/puddles. I run 2 AFM. One is a dummy (****ed) one though.

That's where the "Ash" Flower Pot mod comes into play to prevent the stuttering created by the air turbulence subjected to the exposed filters. It'll also help to prevent hydrolocking your intake from serious water.
Yes, there will be some low speed driveability issues if a balancing hose is not utilized.
OR, one can incorporate a second real N62 MAF (not a dummy MAF) and wire that up through your AFC. I've found that the introduction of the second MAF made a huge difference to low speed driveability and gave me the smoothest idle I've ever had since the rebuild. Just configure your AFC to 2 In - 1 OUT , and AVERAGE the two MAF signals.

Just wondering if a apexi s-afc II would work with dual intakes and a dummy MAF ? Would this help at all ? I am assuming this is just an older bit of kit compared to the neo. Or i could be totally wrong.

    hey all,

we've been having wars with telstra and iinet over the past three weeks and finally have our internet service back up and running. sorry to a lot of people that haven't received their kits yet, it's been a nightmare.

come monday, we'll have items dispatched and there are a few left over.... i'll be in touch with everyone real soon. :)

If you mean a dual MAF - no, it's not required but either that or a low speed driveability kit would be considered a "should have".

Yes, your SAFC II can be utilized with this. If you're still running an unchipped ECU or one that is only chipped for a single intake, your AFC can manage the second intake. But in cases like this the new Selin Design mod would be a perfect candidate however it was specifically designed for a divorced dual intake, it will still work quite well with a "DoolZ type" of dual intake.
Search "Selin Design" here but it's best to look it up on tt.net (or 3ZC) for more detailed info on this new piece of kit.
