Replacing Subframe without undoing centre driveshaft?

    Hey guys,

I've gone through all the Tech sections, and searched the forums without any luck. I am replacing my subframe at the moment, and have run into a bit of a hitch. I am having serious trouble undoing the four bolts holding the centre piece of the driveshaft and therefore complete the removal of the diff. My tools just won't fit onto the bolts.

Now I've undone all the allen bolts, and the subframe is ready to drop. I was hoping that by slowly lowing the diff, that the driveshaft end heading into the diff (where I removed the allenbolts from) will then just separate. Is this the case?

If not, any tips on getting those driveshaft bolts undone? Special tools etc?

    Thanks guys!

    Andy

I'm on a 2+0 TT 93 Zed if it makes any difference.
