    What a load of crap!!

The average battery life in Australia is 39 months, optima are no exception.

I have personally attended around 12000 failed batteries in over the past six years, and can confidently say that optima batteries do not last longer than regular automotive batteries (besco, atlas, century, etc etc) of similar CCA.

The best batteries (in terms of longevity) in my opinion are the panasonic batteries that come out of Japan in Toyotas, Subarus etc etc. Can't get them aftermarket though.

ive worked with a few optima yellow tops that have lasted 6 years with a big sound system in them... but then again most of them have dual optima yellow tops..

i was told over 10 years from my old boss is a very reputable car audio installer with plenty of awards.

simmo i would look at the century/bosch sort of batteries, most are made by the same mob

i got a 520 cca (13 plates i think) for $130 bucks with a 3 year warranty. completely drained the battery the other day and jumped it and it was back to 14v after 20 mins of driving, this is after 2 years already!!

you really get what you pay for. i have a spare but its been sitting a while, might get you going for a while if you can charge it up at all

where else but super cheap auto :D
the bosch/century and a few other brands are all made in the same place just different badges and colours. get a nice century yellow one with the same specs for an extra $50 if you want!
