It's on again folks, a weekend of fun, frivolity and whales. This will be our fourth visit to Eden because Judy likes it so much. Activities will include: Saturday lunch cruise (destination yet to be determined) Saturday BBQ Dinner on the Beach (catered by Judy) Sunday morning whale watching Sunday lunch cruise to Tathra Pub Cat Balou Cruises have pencilled in twenty spots for us on the 8am (need to be at wharf by 7:30am) whale watching cruise for Sunday 18th October. You will need to confirm and pay for your own tickets which will cost $65. There are plenty of accommodation options in Eden but the following three motels are right next to each other in the middle of Eden: Twofold Bay Motor Inn $99-$190* Whale Fisher Motel $55-$95* Heritage House Motel & Units $120-$180* * Room rates as listed on http://www.nowwhereroute.com/touringdetail/ Some of us will be travelling to Eden on the Friday. Please let us know if you're coming so we can cater Saturday nights BBQ. If you have any camping lamps they might be very useful as there is no public lighting on the beach. Folding chairs could also prove useful.
Damn, Nerds are invading Eden that weekend and accommodation might be hard to get. There seems to be a problem with any weekend I pick! That leaves a choice of Bathurst weekend (10-11 October) or Riverland Auto Expo weekend (24-25 October). Any preferences?
Riverland AutoExpo is popular with some of the Victorians that like to come to Eden. According to the motels I rang, there is a computer conference. November 14&15 is looking good so far.
Looked at your thread leader and thought, "Bugger! There goes a perfect attendance record!" The November dates are fine with me, but is it a bit too late for the whales (not that they are the main attraction anyway, more of an excuse!).
Whales are supposed to be around until end of November, so 15 November "should" be OK but you can't guarantee attendance of wild mammals.
Probably enough wild mammals even without the whales. As always, I'll be there ..... haven't missed one yet !!! Cheers, Peter
I should be able to make it. Will let you know when dates are set! Will be in the Beema though, cos dont think the Z will be down here still.
Depending on final date and other commitments we hope to make it. From what I've read about the previous whales, it sounds very very nice
Leia and I should be able to make it (for the FIRST time), too!!! Awaiting confirmed dates... And looking forward to it! Lil' Baz..... :zlove:
Is there any news on the Eden run, yet? Leia and I need to organise leave from work 'n' stuff... Lil' Baz..... :zlove:
