Hey guys I'm having trouble aligning my HID's... basically the globes just won't sit right. It's a real PITA... especially the little wire/spring that is meant to hold it in place. Any recommendations to fix my problem that is not going to set me back much $$$ ?

Bend the spring clip and adjust it so it places the right amount of pressure on the globe to hold it in the right spot... Or space it with something the right size if it's wobbly...

Thanks for the advice. It's really fiddly though lol.
How exactly did you manage to align yours though? Just by visual judgment?

I assume you don't mean the high beams - they sure don't sit right. You need to do a bit of fabrication to get them in.

For the low beams, I had no problem, the black rubber moulded base of the H3 HID of the brand I bought had the notch and the curve cut accurately and the assembly mounted flush into the back of the headlight quite easily. Load up the retaining spring and the job was done.

If you are having trouble, perhaps your HID base is not quite the right shape to seat properly into the headlight. Compare it alongside a H3 halogen bulb and see if it needs adjustment.

I didn't have any real trouble fitting mine either. One of them was an issue, but only because i'd bent the retaining spring totally out of shape earlier in my ownership while replacing a globe.

I cut the black rubber rings off the HIDs that I bought and threaded the grey ones that fit the headlights, so it looks closer to stock.
