hey guys..just got a quick question.

Recently when i changed my battery, I accidently broke/cracked the battery cover.. (the cover that protects it from rain, right next to the passenger side window cowl)

So at the moment, if you're standing at the passenger side door, you can actually see the + and - connector to the battery (unsafe!)

Does anybody know where i could get this part?
Is the part the same as the window cowl?

Would greatly appreciate any advice

There are two cowls. The drivers side is the longer one and is generally in good nick, then there is the passenger side which is smaller and covers the battery. The fumes off the battery break them down.

Two seperate parts. you will be able to get the passenger side cowl on its own. I am also chasing one of these and have already contacted John at Cresta who hasn't got any at the moment but was going to look into the price of getting one from Japan. It would be worth going to direct to Nissan just to see what their price is though.

RedZedMikey RZM should now be DZM

Don't go buying them from Coz, Z1 etc in the US, they are reversed for LHD.
If Caz and CrestaJohn can't help, try your local Nissan dealer, and they will be able to say if there are any in the Aust system, or if there will be a lead time out of Japan.

Tip. When washing your car for the time being, cover your battery and electrics in that area with a plastic bag (bin bag is good), and ensure you dont direct the hose in that area.

Remember to REMOVE the bag after washing.

been doing this for 2 years lol.

I got a set of two from Nissan NZ for about NZD 300. Before fitting them coat the underside with a sealant to protect them from the fumes. I used some old underseal I had lying around

Nissan quoted 115 AUD for driver side and 127 AUD for passenger side. Stock in WA. ETA 2 days.

funny how the passenger side is more pricey than the bigger drivers side!

i think most people hold off due to the price lol.
$300 is meant to go on something "performance enhancing" lol
