Any chance that people make head gaskets to increase comp on VG? Could probably run up to about 9.2 with mild cams as boost WILL be capped at no more than 1.2bar for any turbo combination. Anything higher will create way too much heat in a 300 engine bay for long togue or track work.
I supercharged a 1UZ soarer I owned a couple of years back.. good combination. Problem then goes the other way. Heat makes you back timing back so far that torque you initally had tapers over time. I used water and methanol injection for a while (gives about as much performance on a supercharged motor AS adding the blower itself!!) but that was just a bandaid for the problem. Thinking black beast might have the right answer with the GT2554R's, however, running more cubes is also a viable option. LS1/ 2 maybe? Weight saving, engine response and power required??? Not sure if it would be cost effective though as would need custom exhaust/ cams and ITB's
