2000 would be a waste of time mate, 1600 would be about as fine as you would want to go

    came up very nicely
there is a meguiars metal buffing compound which would have worked wonders on that
if you wanted to paint it, anodised paint would come up very nice

    good job

You use 2000 as a final sand it helps smooth out and gets rid of fine scratches.

The pipes look good. The meguiars metal polish is some good shit.

You can get some stuff by loctite which is loctite number 3 says it is non hardening sealant. Put some of that on when you goto put the hoses back on. I have put it on them hoses as well as my heater hoses when i had to replace them a couple of years ago.

Super Heap has all the gear you need inc 2000 griT sandpaper. You can whipe your arse with that stuff, it's so smooth. Nice work mate. :)

The came up really well with the smooth up work beforehand. How much was the plating if you don't mind me asking? I have a spare set, plennum, balance pipe, etc that I am going to have done.
