    hi

My 300zx seems to ride a bit wierd in the rear end. I am thinking about upgrading the suspension but dont know much about it all. Can anyone give me some info or recomend a place that sells suspension in melbourne or bendigo.

I dont want to have really hard suspension i just want a nice ride. not to hard and not to soft

Order some KYB (can't remember the name) from Coz for about 700 shipped (make sure you also get new rubber gaskets at the same time, your old ones will be RS).

about 200 for King spring standards.

You can adjust the stiffness of the KYB shocks... but in my exp too soft makes the Z handle like crap ( too much body roll)

Shocks only affect the shock absorption. On the KYB shocks the rebound rate can be changed.. but again this is only to do with shock absorption and how quickly the unit will rebound from being compressed. Body roll is indirectly affected by the stiffness of the shock/ springs.

If you are referring to too much body roll, then you gotta change the component that primarily affects body roll.. the roll (sway) bars. Bigger heavy duty sway bars with adjustability for stiffness will have a large impact on the cars oversteer / understeer.

If the ride is weird, then it is often shocks. If it does weird things under power or turning, check alignment and bushes.

I had this problem where the car felt like it wanted to step out under acceleration (it was a NA, so not due to too much power :p). Turns out that the mechanic had replaced the sub frame and never got a alignment done. Toe was out by 20 mm or so
