hey guys and girls I need some advice regarding moving my 300 to sydney. Earlier this year my girlfriend got into veterinary science at uni of sydney and moved over at the beginning of semester, I stayed in perth studying physiotherapy and awaiting gamsat results (for medicine) I finally got my results and I have a great chance of getting into medicine, hence im going to defer / quit physio and go work for the next 6 months in sydney with my girlfriend untill medicine starts early next year. Anyway now you know my story I was wondering how I should go about taking my 300 over to sydney, do I put it on a train or drive it over. Has anybody had any experience in either, still being a student for the next month or so cost is a factor, but im thinking fuel will cost more than transporting it over, but I have no idea. can anybody give some light into the situation
Are you going to leave the z in sydney after you go back to perth? Otherwise bringing it over for 6 months then bringing it back is not really worth the cost. Better off renting a car in sydney. I've pretty much moved over from sydney and i've just left the z at my parents house, no plans to bring it over until i'm certain that my move is permenant.
yeah i was just gonna bring it over for 6-8 months then take it back with me, i was thinking costs would be around $500-$600 each way which im happy to do, but please inform me if im misguided
look into removalists such as Kent - they take by rail (enclosed, not open travel) prob for about that much (what Zzz said) i would not rent a car for the 6mths that will cost a fortune...i'd rather drive myself tho - but that may just be me...
Sure depot to depot is around $500? Most quick online quotes give around $1100+ from Sydney to Perth. Along the east coast its around $600ish, but cross country I think is a bit more.
give this group a try, I got a good price for a depot in Rockhampton, Qld pickup to depot in Brisbane then delivered to door on Sunshine Coast. http://cevacarcarrying.com.au/contact.html
Ship Ship to Melbourne and then drive to Sydney. Only about two tanks of fuel from Melbourne to Sydney. Just my 2 cents worth
